Let's Take a Walk [Will/Henry]
With an insubordinate child in his basement and half the outpost breathing down his back about it, William was at the absolute end of his patience. And he couldn't do anything about it. Hurting the child was out of the question entirely, and while punching his favorite member of the outpost seemed like a good idea now, it would only serve to start a riot. Throwing a tantrum was childish, and attempting to punish the entire outpost for their complete lack of faith in him was downright stupid.
But there was one person he could still pester. And with any luck, it would be just the fix he needed to get him through this disaster of a situation.
Heavy boots kicked over dirt and grass as William trotted out to the edge of the outpost in search of Henry Morrison. He wasn't very hard to find, and William climbed up to meet him on top of their makeshift perimeter. "Henry! Just the man I was looking for. I have a job for us." As soon as he was able, he walked over and wrapped his arm around the chief guard's shoulder, lips twitching into a smile that was as mischievous as it was malicious.
"You know, I've been wondering how the youngest member of our new society managed to slip outside the walls without a single person noticing. I know it's been bothering you - you can't hide that." He cocked his head to the side, mouth curving into a frown. "I think it's time we check our perimeter again. If one of us can get out, I shudder to think what's able to get inside."
