@hemoplagued said: "Your blood is no use to me, I'd rather leave you to dry like a towel from the ceiling."

βOoookay, grandpaβtime for bed.β

Feeling the presence of another, Akio's nose crinkled slightly at the rather strange smell of blood. Part of him hated his minor magic sense but nevertheless, Akio moved his hands up in a mock surrender gesture. "Easy there partner, Birdie is strong to care for himself. I just make sure to get the attention off of him when we fight together. So he is in good hands."
Something about this person was familiar, the smell of blood magic was there, but he couldn't pinpoint it yet. And he knew better than to ask.

Fuck. Not now.
Claws dug into the tree the werewolf was leaning against, a moan escaping his lips as the painful transformation began, snout shortening into human nose and mouth, fuzzy ears reverting back to their normal elven. Through the haze of pain, Erik couldnβt keep track of the person heβd smelled right before his transformation, and panic washed over him at the thought of being this vulnerable while someone was approaching.
Soon enough, the pain lessened, and harsh winter wind made the hair on his naked human flesh stand on end. He shivered, regretting the warm and protective armor heβd left back in the cave he had first transformed in. He hadnβt expected to turn back so quickly, thinking he could find a bandit to feast upon on his hunt. He shouldnβt have been this reckless.
He turned his head, hearing footsteps on the snow, and another shiver run down his spine, but this time it wasnβt from the cold. He could see now the person he had smelled prior to his transformation.
A Vigilant of Stendarr.
Nose crinkled at the smell of the silver weapon the man carried, and he already felt a headache starting in the back of his skull. The weapon hadnβt even cut his flesh yet. If it would, there were high chances he wouldnβt survive the fight, especially as naked and weaponless as he was at the moment. And even if heβd somehow manage to overpower the man and kill him, itβd only be the start of his troubles. The Vigilants would be then after him, and the fuckers were as determined and resilient as the most stubborn wolf. They wouldnβt stop until theyβd make a pelt out of his beast form.
And so Erik raised his arms, palms out in a peaceful gesture.
βI know you know what I am. I know what your job is. But if you truly believe in your god, who preaches for justice and mercy, listen to me, and then judge whether I should be killed or not.β

Oh thank the divines. She had been doubtful of the chances of finding anyone that wasn't a bandit or other hostile party out here, and more doubtful of anyone fitting that description also being an alchemist. Luck, it would seem, was on her side today. She seemed quite happy with the man's answer, as she quickly started speaking again.
"Well, food would be wonderful if you have any to spare. I've got more than just feathers as well!" She explained, quickly swinging her bag around so she could reach in and check what she had.
"Let's see... Imp Stool, Blisterwort, Slaughterfish Scales... Nightshade and dragon's tongue." She listed off as she rifled through the contents of the pouch. "I've got more but they're mostly common ingredients."
It would perhaps seem strange that someone so young had so many ingredients with the potential to be deadly, but it was the only reliable way she had to earn the coin to keep herself going.
Normally Valin would stay as far away from any sign of a camp- abandoned or otherwise- as physically possible. But there was an abnormally large sabre cat chasing after you sacrifices had to be made. In this case the camp itself was the sacrifice as both of them launched themselves over the small stone wall surrounded in the area and tore through the more live in spaces. The woman herself skidding across the ground next to a still burning fire so that she could slow down long enough to spin herself around and kick hot ash and emberβs into the animalβs face. It was nowhere near enough to stop it for good, but the howls of pain were enough of a distraction that she could kneel down and get her dagger from its sheath in her boot.Β
The sabre cat managed to shake off the last of the embers about the time she stood back up, her free arm coming up to protect herself as she took a few steps back, preparing herself for it to lunge at her, its long teeth sinking into the padded leather of her bracer. Thatβs when the dagger in her hand plunged itself into the thingβs neck, Ebony blade sinking in nearly to the handle before she ripped into its neck, slicing over half of it open by the time both of them hit the ground.
After freeing her arm from its mouth and the knife from its body, Valin gave it one more quick stab in the chest to make sure it was dead. Once she had pulled the blade free again she wiped it off on her armor and returned the still bloody blade back to its place in her boot. Either completely oblivious or- more likely- uncaring of the fact that someone else might be in the camp with her.
