not the door to their flat up the stairs, but on the front of the building at 221 Baker Street, does the door open out or do they push it to get in? I am assuming that to enter the building you would grab the door and pull it towards you.
Screenshots would be appreciated if you just have them lying around.
I felt so very clever beginning to research for my fic (and still wishing someone would want to be my beta) but then I did a facepalm because I couldn't remember what direction the bloody door opened! (trying to get in the Brit mood)
Also -- anyone (preferably British) have some distinct opinions on British slang Sherlock wouldn't use? He has a very high class style of speech so I could not really see him, for example, telling someone to sod off.
I'm American so.....I don't want to use something and then have an angry Brit yell at me in CAPS.
Any help would be appreciated. You are an awesome fandom full of awesome people.
I also feel like the fic going to be a collection of a bunch of references to fandoms I am in, albeit sneaky ones.....
I have already thought of one for Doctor Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc. More would be appreciated so it would be the MEGA crazy colllection of references. :)
I am only really planning the plot, thinking about characters, etc, though I think once I get to writing it I will have more specific questions. Please reblog to your Sherlockian friends please, esp. if they are fanfic writers...there has to be some awesome knowledgeable and/or opinionated person who might be able to help me. If not I'll go at it alone.
UPDATE: here's the answer to my door question:
the-star-eyed-girl asked you:
The door opens inwards-they push it to enter.
Thanks the-star-eyed-girl!
