"I think you're not thinking broad enough. Firearms aren't the only things that can make one go loose on a killing spree. Swords, knives, arrows and our handy dandy pebbles and rocks at the side of a road can be quite deadly too. Wouldn't you agree that those who lose control due to a power trip, are simply just fragile beings who've had their first sip of the thing they've been denied their whole life? Powerlessness without discipline and self mastery is what breeds instability. Pulling the trigger will always be a choice.
