one of the side effects of genAI is that it's made sites like Fiverr, where you hire random internet person to do a thing, completely unusable. Also etsy. Just any time where the exchange would be digital, like if I want someone to draw me a wechat sticker pack for a present, there's just no way to tell whether they're just prompting an AI now.
Back to curating lists of individual contractors who can do things like it's 2010. Can't buy a random self-published book until writer is researched thoroughly so I don't pick up a generated book. Can't buy prints without staring at it to pick out AI artifacts. Can't even buy a rug off the internet. I just donated a rug with an ai generated image last week. it's exhausting.
