I mean I guess Alastor can walk it off and it shows and it’s all probably and illusion but my point still stands.

Couldn’t Lucifer throw Vox into a domain expansion and toss him around like he did with Alastor?

Okay folks pull up a chair and lemme tell you why Lucifer is THE MAN.

BE WARY MATEYS, THERE BE SEASON 1 SPOILERS AHEAD.

I always thought the scene before "Hell's Greatest Dad" when Lu meets Vaggie was strange. I mean, why would he be weirded out that his daughter is in a same sex relationship? He has lived literally forever. Most of that time in Hell. He has seen it all.

But upon a closer rewatch, I realized - he recognizes Vaggie immediately as an ANGEL. He is acting hella awkward because he DOESN'T WANT TO BLOW HER COVER.

Look at how nervous she is:

Lucifer then immediately throws his arms around her, giving her a FULL-BODY hug - the only other person who got that was Charlie, his daughter:

Immediately after the hug, Vaggie literally WIPES HER BROW in relief, and says "Nice to meet you sir" - a military formality she would have immediately slipped into in the presence of Angelic authority. Lu, for his part, is giving her a thumbs up like "Yeah babe, I got your back, good on ya."

Lu protects Vaggie's identity because he knows what it is like to be exiled from Heaven and what a dangerous position that is, making him BEST FATHER-IN-LAW EVER.

Also BONUS detail is the crooked family portrait at the top of the stairs, subtly nodding to their fractured dynamic at this point.

This show's attention to detail is incredible. I rest my case.
