Thing that I'm listening in the audio and you probably missed in Newsies Italy... Medda/Edda speaks in a VERY HEAVY neapolitan accent. They transported the social status of 'That Rich' in Naples, I believe to recall the fact that they were actually the very poor and marginalized part of our Country during that historical period. Probably for a foreigner it sounds weird but here in Italy, in this adaption, is actually quite 'clever'. And more immediate for the italian public and culture I think.
Yes, @hellofcolours was also telling me about this!! I think culturally based changes like that are really interesting, but I’m glad it makes the show better for the intended audience!
