Just when I thought my pieces were back together, Jax left. She didnāt go on purpose, I know. She ... died.Ā I think it is a fracture that will never leave and so I must fill it up with gold. Have you heard of that? ā Kintsugi (or Kintsukuroi, which means āgolden repairā) is the centuries-old Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with a special lacquer dusted with powdered gold, silver, or platinum.ā
I had a ceramic rabbit once that belonged to my mother. I wish Iād known about this technique. It would have been the right thing for that bunny.Ā
I think, maybe, if I remember enough, if I read enough of her work, if I find the gold there-all of it-and fill the cracks, maybe I wonāt feel so fractured.Ā

Who would have really deep emotional thoughts at the middle of the night/ Who would have them in the middle of the day?I want to say Duncan would have the middle of theĀ day thoughts (even though Ash probably has them 24/7). Duncan believes the middle of the night is for other things!Ā Val would probably have them late and night and just not share them. Since they are so busy during the day, she rarely has time to dig deep into that well. Iām almost positiveĀ Jo knows when she is and doesn'tĀ ask but just offers cuddles until she wants to talk.
32. Who likes to have really long (deep) conversation? Duncan! he loves that AshokenĀ indulges him joins him when she does. Val, not so muchā¦Ā again like toĀ keep those emotions buried and afraid anything too deep will bring them to surface.
43. Who wins the stuffed animals at the carnival for the other one? Johan winds them for Val. Honestly, she sucks at carnivalĀ games. Sheāll try her best though. And, Iād have to say Duncan is no good at carnival game mechanics! So Ashoken would probably win them. Though I am sure heād be able to get her a goldfish or 4!49. Who is the driver/ Who is the passenger?Ā Val does not likeĀ driving. She has some monster hang-ups about it and would be perfectly happy letting anyone else! Duncanā¦ would want to drive but would share if Ash said she wanted to. (of course, we know neither of them has ever driven lol!)
