What do you guys do before a match starts other than stretching???

🎆 "I run a few laps around the field. Maybe drink a cup of water. If we're up against Supa Strikas, I practice my 'evil laugh' in front of a mirror. It's kinda like my signature now, isn't it?"

🐊 "Mm, not much. I just grab a snack and go because I get really hungry before matches! No one usually wants to talk to me unless they need me to do something, so I just... stand around."

🌂 "It depends on how far back your definition of 'before' goes, but I usually go over the strategy we'll be following for one final time before relaying it to everybody else. After that, if I have time, I'll make myself a cup of coffee. It helps a tremendous amount."

the hotel pool deck is silent save for the sound of running water — a small waterfall spout prods from the wall along the pool itself, adding a light trickle to the water below. around them, a lush assortment of tropical ferns, fronds, and flowers sway with the wind, concealing one half of the pool from the outside world. on the other end, a large, empty pool deck is covered in plush loungers and tables and chairs. string lights hang from a covered portion, trailing off along the back wall of the pool and around the tropical plants nearby. it's a luxurious scene... and it's completely closed off to only them for the evening. a private pool at the expensive hotel, just for them.

now, this is indeed a shipping call, but don’t backpedal too fast! i’m down for ALL SORTS OF SHIPS NOT ONLY ROMANTIC. i would be lying if i said i didn’t like romantic ships, but please understand that it isn’t my focus at all. basically ...

plotting calls are hard for me sometimes because that requires actually thinking of a plot. shipping calls? hella easy, because this gives me all the permission in the world to actually tell you if i ship our character in any way, shape, or form, and it gives you every right to say yea!! or nah!! both are fine & totally valid! it gives us a way to communicate without having to sit here awkwardly, nervous and wondering if the plots we’re thinking of are good enough ( trust me, that’s my every day. i’m so nervous about shoving plots @ ppl because well... you know how it goes!! )

anyway, i do want to add that when it comes to romantic ships, i may put a bit of a limit up if things start feeling too overwhelming. it won’t be announced, but i will falter back when it comes to talking to new people about romantic ships. i don’t want just romantic ships. what i’d love to have, is a handful of super developed romantic ships so that i can focus on them all without making anyone feel bad. but, i will also say that if we have a romantic ship and you never come to me with ship things & it really seems like you’re losing interest and/or i feel like i’m just part of a weird ship collection, i’ll stop putting effort forth. it’s weird & makes me feel bad :(
