Paradox On Earth || Agnes & Damian
It wasn’t that Agnes didn’t like reading but getting into a book was difficult. It took her a while to get immersed in it since her attention was as flickering as the fire she was made from. But she was determined to finish the book the class had been given for horror lit. Right after she procrastinated a little.
It didn’t take her long to find where she had decided that she wanted to be, people have directions pretty quickly when they remembered the fact that she was actually pretty dangerous, even though she had put her gloves on. People just don’t trust enough anymore. Or at least, that’s the conclusion he came to as she walked. She had a box of cookies in one arm and held the book in her free gloved hand, feeling increasingly uncomfortable at having the wear gloves, it was annoying and almost degrading.
She smiled a little as she remembered Damian comparing them to a muzzle, he was definitely onto something there. In fact, every time she thought about spending time with her new friend she smiled a little, it was by pure chance that they happened to be in the same class but Agnes thanked whatever deities may exist that they had met. Meeting someone who was fireproof without taking a potion made her so happy that her hair began to spark a little.
With a new spring in her step she walked the last few minutes to Damian's room quite happily. Although, she had no clue as to whether or not he was going to actually be there, not that it mattered. If he wasn't there she could wait.
When she got to the door she set the book on top of the box of cookies and knocked quickly, she shifted a little as she waited for him to answer. In all honesty she had no real reason for being there and was hoping that cookies and reading would be acceptable reasons for turning up completely unnanounced. This was sounding worse by the second and if she wasn't so stubborn she probably would have ran by now.
