#hellborn au

Speaking of my hellborn Vox, here he is again along with @strandedonsaturn 's incubus Valentino. I am getting extremely invested in that AU.

Also, a little bonus Victor, one of my staticmoth fankids, as a little incubus/shark demon hybrid ~

It was never meant to be an endless stream of caves and tunnels. It was never meant to be so close to the surface, it was never even meant to have a way to escape it.

Actually, it was only meant to have one single ‘circle’.

How amusing to think it failed like that. Instead of it being the place demons suffered it had to carry the place demons lived and have it be called its own name while itself was called just a part of it.

Demons wisely avoid it, it was dangerous for them and unknown to them and all that tried to make sense of it never returned to explain it.

How I wonder if my ancestors knew what it was, Did they make it knowing everything it would be? Or did they make it not caring how torturous it would become? Were they so desperate for a prison they completely stopped about the demons they once held so dearly? Maybe they couldn’t stop caring and made the falsum infernum we now recognize as hell? Maybe the old devil made it protect his people?

I hope to find out one day.

I sketched out some images that came to my mind for different types of hellborn. At first I was thinking about an imp. I liked the classic "rags to riches" story. Her race is at the bottom of the ladder, but now she's a trendsetter whose clothes everyone wants to wear. I really like how she looks in the demon form from the Leviathan circle. I settled on the octopus demon, such "moving hair" is perfect for her love of changing outfits and hairstyles.
