As a long time Neko Case superfan, I'm always excited when she releases a new album. And while Hell-On is more a collection of moods and feelings than one of killer singles, that's still A-OK with me. The most enchanting moment on the album is found on "Oracle Of The Maritimes" where Neko lets down her guard to share some of her vulnerable thoughts with us. She feels unworthy of love from the object of her affection and is afraid to tell them her true feelings. This trepidation is mirrored in the music as drums, keys, and strings float and swirl the background, personifying Neko's gnawing anxiety and uncertainty.

Best Moment: The climax of the song when the oracle gives his final advice to Neko and she lets her incredible voice soar out into the foggy night at 3:20.
