Q: I’m planning on applying to the college, what can I expect in my first year?

A: First year students will live in their own hall of residence with shared rooms in groups of 4-5. Students may opt for a gender-exclusive room or may choose co-ed however classes will always be taught as co-educational. Meals and non-educational activities are attended by all year levels together. In your first year you will be learning hand to hand combat, monster anatomy and other crucial information to all Magica alike. 

Q: At what age can I apply?

A: From 16 onwards, anyone can negotiate applying to become a Magica. If the student has not yet finished High School they are able to compromise with their school to continue core subjects while attending The Magica college. Many First year students are anywhere from 16 to 20 years old.

Q: What kind of exams are there?

A: When applying, one must first pass a basic health examination. After the first year is completed a process named the Phasing is used to bridge between your first year and third. The Phasing is not so much an exam as a physical competency test. It is possible to opt out of the Phasing but this means you will be ending your education at The Magica College. For the remainder of your five years in total at the College, simple competency exams will be used at the end of each year to gauge whether you require extra time and training or not.
