Course name: “First Japanese Class (2nd Term)” Dates: December 7, 2025 – February 15, 2026 (Sundays only; except Dec 28 & Jan 4) Time: 1:00pm – 3:30pm (January 11: 10:00am – 12:30pm) Location: Hekinan City Hall (28 Matsumoto-chō, Hekinan) Fee: Free of charge Eligibility: Aged 16 and over, difficulty speaking Japanese at beginner level Capacity: Approx. 20 participants

Let me eat that Sushi Train!
Headed out to Hekinan city yesterday to hang out with fellow ALT Jamie. We headed to the Costco by the airport, and then the AEON mall afterward. Stopped in for some food, a sushi train place. Oh my gah, I already knew I loved sushi and have been to a sushi train (was actually boats) restaurant before, but this was the first one in Japan. Man, do I love sushi train places! Getting to try all kinds of sushi 100 yen per plate. Was heavenly! Also bought a kicking bag that is shaped and designed to look like a book. Was 50% off too. I love it, because I was looking for a smaller bag that I could take around, instead of my huge backpack that I use to take to school. So now I have a ‘book’ bag. I find it funny.
Have a shorter week this week at school. I have Friday off, for the start of Golden Week, and then next week, I have Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday off for other Golden Week holidays.
First time doing actual teaching lessons tomorrow. Time to prepare!
