4.28.15 Prayer
Father God
You raise us from depths of depravity and terribleness. Redeeming us from curse after curse.
Breathing into us a Breath of Life that fills more than lungs. You carefully take our feet, slip them from the mire, and place them on solid places. Rooted deep in you.
You are a Champion so great that your presence alone is enough to rout the enemy. That your attention might be on the sparrow, or the number of hairs upon my head.
You are glory unto glory unto glory. Life beyond life. Sight beyond sight. Freedom immeasurable and a Peace everlasting. You delight in your Creation.
How can it be, not just that you would consider me, save me, Love me:
Delight in me?
How can that be. You had to raise me. After finding me. In filth beyond squalor. And yet
You braved and tore away the offal to grab me and hold me.
I have seen You look at me with tear filled eyes of wonder. I have watched you as you gaze at me in delight and great pleasure.
A flutter behind you draws my attention to a Heavenly Host, also in awe. Also in Wonder.
But I am your handiwork, and lest pride begin to raise its head I remember from whence I came and I remember that you. You. YOU. Alone have done this. Help me to wonder at what you wonder.
Value what you value.
Love what you love.
Help me to fiercely fight for the Lovely, regardless of how hidden it may seem.
