He had been down here since that knife severed his spine. He woke up a sinner, his halo gone, his wings disintegrated into dust.
He had been larger than life, exuberant and abrasive. But even years now in the Hazbin Hotel.....Adam looked like the dead. He was so pale, he had lost a lot of weight and looked so utterly broken.
He just wanted to go home.
" I....I woke up like this. I just remember the knife....Lute.....then I woke up and...and...."
He never grovelled, never begged. But here he was, holding Sera's cloth in his hands, eyes pleading.
" Please...I just want to go home. Please let me go home...."
He had served Heaven for millennia.....it's gotta count for something!
