he grows his hair back out in the 90s, trust me <3

the food gets brought out on nice china. the restaurant is nice, a little too nice for izuku's standards. but he's not going to turn down a free meal, even if it makes him feel a little bit like a third wheel. he's gotten a nice cut of steak, as tenya has, but a plate of scallops gets placed in front of you.

izuku says thank you to the server the fastest.

you smile happily as the food is set down in front of you, taking a picture with in on you new, shiny phone. one of the plate as a whole, the others zoomed in on the golden texture of the seafood. then, your phone is back in your purse.

tenya reaches over with his fork and knife, and cuts each scallop in half. izuku watches, eyes wide, no longer listening to what the blue-haired man is saying. that's been an option? just... cutting up your lover's food in public? he's seen tenya do it for you at the apartment many times, but... in public you're always eating sushi. there's never anything to cut up.

when he looks away from you plate to tenya's expectant gaze, izuku's throat is dry. you hadn't even said thank you, just carried on like that was what was supposed to happen every time. and that... well, that might have been the most desirable part.

"sorry, what?" izuku asks, clearing his throat. he reaches for his water.
