I need some kind of briefing on tag etiquette? Because I do not know how tagging works for reblogs but I also want to be like respectful to people so like..

ok so when I reblog art that has the tag "#my art" I've been changing it on the reblog to be "#not my art" because I thought it meant like. it's not my art because I'm just reblogging, and it's their art (the person who's post I'm reblogging). Is that how that's supposed to work? Because I have not been doing that and I feel guilty every time I reblog anything in general because I don't know the rules of tags and reblogs. Like if that isn't how I'm supposed to do that I will change every post because I'm not about to be that one asshole-
