Ravenhuffed out an annoyed breath, but she chose not to press the issue.Instead, she let her arm drape around Jason’s shoulder and staredat the TV blankly, counting his breaths. There was something peacefulabout these moments - this sort of soft surrender to him, even whenhe was teasing her. Her fingers tangled in the soft cotton of hist-shirt, and she let her body lay just a little closer to him.

“They’regoing to be home soon.”

“Iknow.” Jason sat up and looked at her, his eyes dark with somethinghe wasn’t sure if he had the right to say yet. “In fact they’reprobably already home. Already watching us on the cams and completelyoffended that you’re dating a corpse.”

Raven’sface fell flat and she stared at him. “Nowyou’rebeing ridiculous.”

“I’maware.” He ran his hand through his hair before lifting it in amock wave towards the security camera. “Hey guys, how was the groupdate? Forget to invite someone?”

“Noone is there, you know that right?” She sat up and started takingcare of the dishes they had created, dumping them into the sink witha soft sound. “They don’t know that we’re… together.”

“Dating.Date.Ting.” Jason’s voice rumbled against her neck as he invaded herspace easily. His hands rested on her hips, toying with the hem ofher soft shorts before taking a step back. “Look, I’ll even take‘very close friends’ if it gets a label out of your mouth.”

Herflat expression seemed to tell him everything he needed to know, andJason shook his head with a click of his tongue. Looking at him likethis, Raven was always uncertain if he took this like a joke or agame. There were times when he could be so serious, times when itmade perfect sense for him to react the way he did. But now… nowwhat did it prove? All it proved was that they found themselvestogether more often than not, and that he reallylikedpissingoff Dick whenever there was an opening to do so.

“Youwant to label us?” She looked at him, her face almost steely. “Idon’t see why.”

“Ido… it means we’re something…andif it means exposing us to the rest of your team and owning up towhatever this is, than so be it.” He shrugged and tried not to looklike he dropped a nuclear bomb on Raven. “I’m just tired of thisbeing athing,I want it to be ourthing.”

“Ourthing?” She blinked, unsure of what to make of the emotionscoursing through her.

Ourthing.Somethingbetween both of them. She had skirted around it for so long, hadtried to avoid it, had tried to forget that it was an eventuality,had tried everything in her power to just let it go. But it was toolate. She was looking in those eyes that seemed to drown her, and shecould feel what little control was left sliding from her grasp. Itwasn’t a Jason and Raven, it was a themthing.Her teeth sunk into her lower lip and she felt her head nod of itsown accord, without her consent.

“Oh…okay. I guess that makes… it makes sense.”

Jason’ssmile tilted to the side and he practically beamed at her.“Girlfriend?”

“Don’tpress your luck.”

Helaughed and pulled her close his mouth brushing over her own with anearly-there kiss that made her feel like her knees had turned tojello. Her legs buckled under her and she tipped forward, holdingonto his shoulders as he stole a kiss from her.

Andthere was nothing to stop what happened next.

Thedoor opened, the magnetic seal echoing between them.

Theteam stood there, eyes wide in shock.

“Raven…”

Jasonjust lifted his head and grinned. “Hey, BigBro.Isee you already know my girlfriend.”
