I think it was a wonderful cute little story, refreshing and new compared to the past films Pixar put out, and honestly I think it doesn’t even seem like a Pixar movie which is for the best. Gone are the days of early Pixar and instead of trying to relive those days they should let new people like these directors take the reins and make something fresh. (I also hate Disney smh)

I think something important to note is that the concept of being accepted as an outcast in a world where people don’t accept outcasts can be interpreted many different ways, the same way Zootopia was generalized enough so that it didn’t point out any specific real life comparison. For Luca it’s something anyone can interpret and apply to themselves and I think it’s good. Sometimes they try to hammer down an issue too specifically that it’s being shoved down your throat, when a looser message like this can be grasped and related to by different people.

I also feel it was really nice to see some bonding moments between two boys and one girl as being platonic friendship. Now I know people like to ship the main characters together, because let’s face it seeing characters bonding makes our gremlin minds automatically ship something. A lot want to ship Luca and Alberto but it can also be said Luca and Giulia since they also had undeniable bonding moments. The thing is none of them canonly are a ship and I think that’s a good thing. In an industry where they pump out romance for cheap thrills, many have lost the importance and deepness of platonic friendship. And I love romance mind you, but the world is forgetting how deep the ties of friendship can be without being romantic in the slightest. Letting boys hug each other and boys and girls hug each other and be open about their platonic love for each other is such a rare thing in media these days and it should be more normalized. I love my friends dearly and yet I don’t feel any romantic feelings toward them. It’s something about the deep bonds friendship that media just likes to ignore. Heck, Woody and Buzz were another iconic duo of tight friends done by Pixar without romance. And yes, people have the freedom do headcanons of romance the way they like, because as fans we can create any AU and any headcanon we want and enjoy it. I just think that in the midst of all of that, we shouldn’t undermine the fact this movie was able to portray a special bond of three friends and found family without getting into romance.

- Papyrus has no idea about resets and timelines or any of that jazz...but he does feel something off...like when you feel like your forgetting something, but can’t put your finger on it.

- Paps has the potential to use the Gaster Blaster (or something along those lines) just like his bro...But he needs waaaay more experience in battle to actually learn it. (Which probably won’t happen)

- He may only cook spaghetti right now...but he DOES want to learn other cooking skills (he just has to master the spaghet first)

- Sans may annoy the crap out of him with his laziness....but Papyrus Does think his bro is cool and looks up to him (Much like any younger sibling thinks their older sibling is cool...but he won’t admit it.)
