does anyone have good recommendations for heat protector sprays/creams for your hair? I’ve been blow drying my hair a lot and it’s getting all damaged but I can’t find a heat protecter that doesn’t make my hair super greasy

June has been a good month! I celebrated my second wedding anniversary and I got to see Beyonce’s Formation World Tour a few days ago. This made up for the awful weather we’ve been having in Wales. But that’s not why we’re here. I’ve found a few beauty favourites from the past four weeks…
First up, we have Bioderma Moisturising Make-up Removing Micelle Solution. Hardly a catchy name, but the stuff that’s inside is what matters. This is a bit more expensive than the Garnier Micellar Water I’ve been using however, it does seem to remove makeup a lot easier. Soak a cotton wool pad, press and hold this on your eyes (closed of course) and wipe away the makeup. If you let the product sink into your eye makeup for a few seconds, it’ll mean less rubbing and pulling on your delicate eye skin.
Available from feelunique & Boots for £10.50. Get the blue one for dehydrated skin, green for combination/oily and pink for sensitive skin.
Next, we have Kenra Platinum Hot Spray. This is a firm hold heat protection spray which protects against 220°C/428°F. I’ve been using this with my straighteners and I really love how it seems to hydrate my hair and doesn’t allow the straighteners to dry it out. It makes my hair feel smooth and soft. I rarely straighten my hair but recently I’ve been doing it more because of this product.
I picked this up at Ulta when I was in LA and I’m already regretting not getting the bigger size. This size (60ml) is handy for travelling and costs £12.04 from Amazon.
I will have a product review article about the next item very soon. Jeffree Star’s Velour Liquid Lipstick in Gemini is the perfect red for me. I absolutely love this colour and posted a photo on Instagram when I first tried it. I also wore it to the Beyonce concert! It is described on Jeffree’s website as a terra-cotta, warm-toned nude. It looks red on me but a muted, toned-down red. I’ve noticed the colour does transfer when I eat or drink but it’s easy to reapply and layer up. You’ll have to be quick to get your hands on this shade as it always sells out. For updates on restock dates, follow me on Twitter.
The last favourite is a combination of two face products. I’ve been mixing Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone with L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte for a satin finish foundation. Matte foundations are tricky when you have dry skin so I wanted to find a way to wear this particular one because it’s long-lasting. Mixing it with Becca’s Skin Perfector brings a subtle glow to your face, making it look radiant and healthy without being dewy and shiny.
I squeeze a decent amount of foundation onto the back of my hand and add Skin Perfector to it (about a quarter of the foundation amount).
L’Oreal Infallible Matte is available at Boots & Superdrug for £7.99. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector is available from Cult Beauty & Space.NK for £34. This does seem expensive if you were to buy the two products but remember Becca SSP can be used as a highlight on the high points of the face, mix with foundation, use on chest & shoulders as a body glow and as a glowing base for those can’t-be-bothered days.
Another month has flown by and it’s already July…which means I’ll be turning 30 in a few weeks. Cue meltdown. Any other July babies out there?
Have a great Sunday and I’ll see you all on Wednesday!

Hello lovelies today I am reviewing Desert Essence's Coconut hair defrizzer and heat protector. I'm a sucker for anything coconut scented. I absolutely love it, it's a triple threat, hair defrizzer, heat protector and a natural leave in conditioner.
