HEARTLIGHTING!

We want to heartlight a follower every week. It can be ANY follower we have. No matter the type of blog. RP, Personal, Cats...you get the idea. Anyway so we thought it would be a really neat idea if every week we put our followers into a random drawing and whoever the randomizer (via random.org) picks that blog gets spotlighted on the positivitybook that week. 

FAQ

What’s heartlighting mean?

Heartlighting means that we make a post promoting your blog. A little graphic of your url ‘up in lights’ and a small blip on what your blogs all about. Either what character you play if an RP blog and if your indie/OC/Private/etc or a blip about you as an admin/what you blog about/etc if a non-rp blog. 

Is it okay to reblog the heartlight posts?

ABSOLUTELY! REBLOG IT! SHARE THE LINK WITH FRIENDS! Print it out and hang it on your wall if you want. You do you!

When are you going to start doing this?

We are planning to have our first drawing next week. And have the first heartlight posted on Wednesday (12/04/2019). 

Why Wednesday?

Wednesday is hump day. That point in the week we’re all starting to run a little low on energy. So to combat this? We are going to use the power of positivity and make Wednesday HEARTLIGHT DAY!

Can you only be spotlighted once?

I haven’t seen anything about it yet! And yes, absolutely to all of that. :D

It was a really emotionally impactful moment (and sooo satisfying >:)) and taken with last episode as well Sam seems to be really cheerfully helping people get revenge at the moment… Even if Eileen said it felt just like another kill later, for Alex at least getting a chance to face him and punch the vampire was venting a bit? There does seem to be a focus on who gets the kill though… Which is also nice because it’s not just the Winchesters coming in and killing monsters for people. They help them, but these characters getting their kill still makes it more their story?

Actually I was thinking recently about how the early seasons kind of often were much more about the random people involved with the monster’s story especially after they were getting into the flow of random monster of the week but couldn’t make it about the brothers all the time… One of my vague smaller complaints has been that the MotW get less and less about the people involved and so it started feeling quite abstract after a while (recent episode offenders as an example of what I mean include Just My Imagination, where the girl killing the monsters only showed up in the final confrontation)… I know these last 2 episodes have both had the women with more insider knowledge (lol even Mildred had seen a ghost once before) but especially letting them have the kill let the story be about them? And this episode, spin off or not, is still in Claire and Alex’s origin story part of their life. (And Eileen was talking about having had a mentor who trained her as well, just as Jody sort of gave in and agreed to teach Claire some more practical skills 

But yeah Sam’s really on a roll with this… Helps that they’ve had some really uncomplicated monsters or like these vampires very clearly spelled out their emotional backstory so they we knew they weren’t any more than “cool motive still murder” at the best. Like even the guy who’d been an innocent vampire victim thanks to Alex, it could have been murky except he killed loads of people and was dead set on killing all of them, so lines were well and truly crossed… 

This is a case where I’m glad I’ve been fairly spoiled on something so I can brace myself. I’d be able to manage if I were going in blind, but I think I’m going to get a better experience out of it since I know it’s going to hurt a lot.

It might happen! ... Well, not yesterday, since I don’t hold with time travel, but in general. Fenris is one of my favorites and extremely relatable for me, so that makes me want to write lots of him. (Also, I finally got to a part in DA2 where Hawke tells a terrible joke and surprises Fenris into laughing and then Fenris gets kind of embarrassed he laughed and made me terribly fond of him all over again, which also makes me want to write lots of him.)
