I've always feared rejection, because I've had a lot of it growing up. And at times, I feel those who love me are getting taken away. Like my dad. When he passed away, I felt so alone. I felt left out. But I got to know God and He drew me closer. I felt loved and not so insecure. I had hope again. The church became my other home, and it's where I met the one I thought I'd share forever with. Fast forward a few years, trouble brewed, and eventually, he left. I was devastated. But I didn't blame God. I just felt hurt, and had so many questions on my mind. Like: How am I supposed to rebuild the home that was crumbling? What answers do I give a hurting child, that would sound convincing? I began turning cold towards life, and was on autopilot. Only thinking about surviving. I was penniless, and frankly, no friends, and was facing a lot of criticism. I shut the world down, because that's the only way I could go on. But God is always good. He didn't let me go astray, and despite my heartaches and doubts, He brought me back and taught me wonderful things about His Love and Grace. And redemption. I'm still a work in progress. But slowly, He's showing me my life's worth. I may be broken, but I'm Loved and taken care of by the Lover of my soul. And it's an amazing thing, when I discovered a great truth: He is using my pain for His purpose. Another soul might find some comfort that they aren't alone. I thought my being sensitive was a weakness. I never realized He will use it to show His Greatness. Often, some people I meet, would say, "I wonder how you still stay strong." Deep inside, I'm one of the most broken people I know. I'm barely able to walk. But my God is strong. And despite everything, He will never let me down. The world might see me worthless like broken glass, but my Father values me like a diamond in the rough. And that, for me, is more than enough. I just need to remember, to stay close to His Love. @omflit @abettinnacarlos #HeartbreaksandBreakthroughsABC https://www.instagram.com/p/B4EcyI8ltbw/?igshid=12d0j4q1yt17y
