This oil-free cheesy avocado naan flatbread is a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional flatbreads. The creamy avocado adds richness and moisture to the dough, while the nutritional yeast provides a cheesy flavor without the need for dairy. It's perfect for serving as a side dish or as a base for your favorite toppings.
Ingredients: 2 ripe avocados. 2 cups whole wheat flour. 1 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 cup nutritional yeast. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro. 1/4 cup chopped red onion. 1/4 cup diced tomatoes. 1 clove garlic, minced. 1/2 cup water, or as needed.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, mash the avocados until smooth. Add whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, nutritional yeast, cilantro, red onion, diced tomatoes, and minced garlic to the bowl. Mix well. Gradually add water while kneading the dough until it forms a smooth, pliable dough. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each portion into a thin flatbread shape. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the flatbread onto the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned and cooked through. Repeat with the remaining portions of dough. Serve warm and enjoy!
