Drix is actually a lot lighter than you’d think. A majority of his body is made out of a plasticine material, and considering his chest is mostly hollow. 

Based on his material, Drix’s entire body acts as a static wick in a way. He is only able to stay afloat by constantly balancing the minuscule electrical charges present around him and attached to him. That is, constantly maintaining an electrical charge that is the same as his environment. His “effervescent mechanism” is actually just a way of self-regulating this charge balance etc.

That being said, if he doesn’t ground himself every once and a while he tends to get jittery（´∀`）

He doesn’t have a gender, he’s quite literally a robot, but due to his demeanor, voice, etc, people refer to him as male. He doesn’t have a preference either way.

(( Headcanon time. 

Drix has unusually strong paternal urges. A great deal of his esteem comes from being able to provide for others, and he really takes the wellbeing of others into his own responsibility as well. Though it might be a little uncharacteristic for him, he really does care about others a great deal, just has a difficult time expressing it.

7: Drix probably wouldn’t see much of an advantage in doing so, and his likeliness to take the opportunity would change upon the circumstances. Since he technically doesn’t have a sex, “changing” it probably wouldn’t be a matter much more than flaunting different clothing for the sake of presentation, and a dealing with the changed perception. Drix would probably just find as many ways to get amusement out of it, and using whatever feminine charm he could muster to get a good laugh from Ozzy’s reaction. 

8: Though he’s had a long-standing like for Ozzy, he had his first romantic affinity for Maria Amino. Drix still has a deep love for her, now purely platonic, but the romanticism has shifted towards Ozzy. 

I think that Ozzy’s intelligence manifests in ways that weren’t measured by standard academics… he’s a complete genius when it comes to mechanics, *chemistry, systems, and cars most importantly. the hot rod that he loves so much in the movie? he built it from scratch using the money he got while in police academy, working to make do as an apprentice in a car repair shop in his neighborhood. it kind of waned once he started working full-time as a policeman, but it was still nurtured by him being the designated mechanic for the precinct’s police cruisers, rather than them being sent to be repaired elsewhere. ozzy’s avoided tartar control many times by tuning up the chief-of-police’s car.

him building his own car was more of an act of freedom. ozzy always had a bit of an edge when it comes to control, and creating something as significant as a car from scratch, completely by his own will was tempting.

One of Drix’s greatest dreams is being able to visit the brain. The brain contains massive libraries of nearly every bodily process (though this isn’t the case, artistic freedom, eh?) in accordance to that region’s principle function. The pituitary gland would contain a library dedicated to the structure and function of the thyroid and the production of steroidal hormones, the amygdala contains one for memory and its proper repercussions into the rest of the body (like fear) etc.

The brain is a highly pristine environment, and the information in its libraries is completely off-limits to casual readers like Drix. The information could easily be leaked and fall into the wrong hands...! It is only to be read by the principle cells among the brain council, and in rare instances, the immunity.
