my baby doesn't need me to pretend that i'm okay
when i'm losing all my shit, it's okay i scream, and cry, and throw something at the wall
he is somehow able to show concern for my wellbeing without being mad at me for getting upset and being a ball of crazy
he tells me to be careful while validating it's okay to be upset.
if he has the ability, he'll come help so i don't have to be so frustrated. if he can't, he stands by to remind me that i'm loved even when i'm not okay
no one in my life has ever done that. in fact most people have told me it's impossible. of course they're angry when i scream, of course they're angry when i cry. they're worried about me. even if i am not screaming at them, even if it's my own stuff i break, it's never been okay.
but he is somehow able to do the impossible, the thing my family swore was impossible, the thing my ex swore was too much to ask. he loves me when i'm frustrated.
i'm safer now than i have ever been. and it's not just for show, it's real this time.
