Wednesday evening saw me visit Ripley Cricket Club for the first time this season, for a Harrogate & District Amateur Evening Cricket League Division Four game between Ripley CC and North Stainley CC.

The teams were scheduled to play each other twice within 24 hours - the first game being a league fixture, and the following evening would see them face off in the Barrett Cup.

The league fixture was played in high spirits, with both teams enjoying being out in the warm summer evening.

For the record, the visitors won both games - the first one by 22 runs, and the second by six wickets.
