Ryder wrapped himself around Shane to keep him warm, the storm had come out of nowhere and they were lucky that they had found this cave as quickly as they had, but he could see his brother shivering and he couldn't have that. "Shane, we need to take our wet clothes off, you need to stay warm." He pressed a firm kiss to his twin's hair and rubbed his hands up and down his arms for friction, ignoring that fact that he was cold too, that didn't matter right now. @hcllcnder

"No, no, is very nice - You look like cowboy." Ilya's hand pats on the dashboard, expression playful as he lifts his eyebrows at Shane. "Are you having midlife crisis? Hollander -" He feigns worry. "Are you sick?" Hand reaches across to pretend to check his temperature. "What happened to safe European car, good in snow?"

He tilts his head, trying to see if he can get any more information from that statement without pressing, but he can’t. “Okay, well… earlier could’ve been a while. So do you wanna eat something now?” It’s the only thing he can think to do, take care of someone.

To say Ryder was nervous was an understatement, of course he was nervous, both he and his twin brother Shane could have their lives changed forever today. They'd always played hockey together on the same team, most often even on the same line, they always knew where the other was on the ice and what they needed to score goals. But now they had the potential to be split on different teams and have to compete against one another. Their mother had sat them down and given them a pep talk just before they left for the venue and had assured them that no matter what happened they would always be brothers, but that she thought it would work out. Ry had no reason to doubt her, she had the best instincts when it came to hockey, his twin had gotten her instincts, he had a higher hockey IQ than Ryder did so he fully expected to be drafted after him.

He was just covering his last scent gland with a scent-blocking patch and buttoning the last button on his shirt when Shane came in and he smiled at him, as he tied his tie. "This is gonna be great," he reassured his twin, he knew him well enough to know he was incredibly nervous. "It's like mom said, we'll be fine. We'll be only the second and third omegas to ever be drafted and even if we go to separate teams no one can take that away from us. We'll be the only omegas in the league and we'll show all those betas and Alphas that we belong just as much as they do." He hugged Shane and gently rubbed their cheeks together, gently scenting him even though their scents were quite similar as it was.

"I know," Eli murmured, "I lied, by omission, but it was still a lie and I'll completely understand if you want nothing more to do with me because I lied about being a Nephilim or even because I'm not human. But that isn't why I apologized. An apology doesn't change things and it isn't me trying to get away with anything. I am genuinely sorry and that is why I'm apologizing, even if it changes nothing." @hcllcnder

Az had been informed that someone had come into Crossroads to make a deal and he made his way to the corner booth reserved for deal seekers in his own time, having gotten a glass of whiskey on his way over. And damn, the kid at the table was fucking gorgeous and it has his mind spinning with ideas to make this deal much more interesting.

Elian groaned as he opened his eyes, finally feeling a little less like death after being in bed for a week with the flu. He looked over and saw that Shane didn't look much better, asleep in a chair next to the bed, his head resting in Eli's lap. "Shane?" he asked quietly, stroking his fingers through his hair and frowning when he felt how hot he was. "Shane?" he asked again, more insistent this time and shaking his shoulder roughly, nothing. "Fuck," he stood and lifted the hockey player, still feeling weak, but knowing he needed to get his fever down and quick. He carried him into the shower and set him on the ground before turning on the cold water and letting it flow onto him. @hcllcnder

Elian sighed as he leaned against the railing of the upper floor of his club watching as the team of hockey players entered. He'd had the city's team a few times and they usually needed to be kicked out after a few hours because they were being rowdy and he wasn't looking forward to another repeat of their song and dance. At least this was the visiting Montreal Metros rather than the home team. He knew very little about sports, but he had read a few articles here and there. He liked to think that his club had something for everyone, take this upper floor for example, it muted most of the noise from below and had comfy couches and a second bar for anyone who got overwhelmed.

He noted one of the players, a blond, talking to a brunet and pointing to the staircase that led up here. It seemed like he was telling the other man about the feature of his bar that some people called a waste of space and he watched the man beeline for the stairs. Interesting. Well, his upper floor bartender had called in tonight so the running of the bar fell to him so he went to stand behind it in case the player wanted a drink. He smiled pleasantly as the rather cute hockey player came in, "Can I get you a drink?" he asked before noting the shock on his face with concern, "You look like you've seen a ghost," he murmured.
