Hazel x Mari - Gift Shopping - CONCLUDED ( Event Centered )
MARI
“Do you think they’d use this?”
Mari showed off the object in her hands, waggling her brows at her friend at the shape of the object and giggled.
“It’s a meat pounder. Get it?”
HAZEL
Hazel snorted. “Oh I’m sure Stella is pounding Avery’s meat alright.” She proudly procured said meat pounder and swung it around until it came to rest on her shoulder. “Definitely my choice of weapon if the zombie apocalypse ever happens.”
Hazel discarded the meat pounder then, crossing her arms behind her back as she turned to grin at Mari. “How many blenders you reckon they’ll receive?”
MARI
Mari scrunched her nose, eyes dancing, “In the apocalypse? Do you have a biting kink I don’t know about? You’d never fight off a zombie with that thing.”
Turning back to the kitchenware they were perusing, she hummed in thought, “At least three, definitely. Avery looks like a smoothie man. Does Stel have a wedding registry? I’m so bad at gift giving.”
HAZEL
Hazel snorted. "Marigold Simmons, it's like you don't even know me." She grinned at her then, bumping her shoulder with Mari's. "Of course I have a biting kink. The harder the better."
She laughed at Mari's comment on Avery. He did look like a smoothie guy. "Probably drinks kale smoothies. Have you seen his muscles?" Hazel hummed. "Don't know, don't care. They get what they get and they'll be thankful." She gestured towards a nice set of knives then, smirking at Mari. "Think these would be too kinky of a gift?"
MARI
“I do know you. And you’d hate being a zombie. So, you know, if we’re teaming up for the apocalypse,” she grins and bumps her shoulder back, “I can’t in very good conscience let you use that as a weapon.”
Ew, kale smoothies. Why someone had to add something green into something fruity and delicious was lost on her. “Oh my god, yeeeeees. Lucky Stella. She has good tastes.” Looking at the knives indicated, she couldn’t help but laugh, “Oh, that is scandalous. They’re a bit pricey for my budget, though, for real. Jimmy raised rent again cause he saw how much I got for that last commission I did.”
Her fingers reached out to a shelf, “What about a panini press or a couple of these little gadgets?” She picked up two, mostly because they were pretty colors, but she wasn’t really sure what they did.
