#hazel asks

I just realized that I dont think I've ever told y'all about the most irreplaceable engine in my collection.

...Hazel...the black five is incredibly common. Not this one.

Several years ago I found a listing for a Black Five in Ebay. She was extra detailed and cost more than I wanted to pay, but for some reason...I fell in love. I won, flinching at the price...until I got a message from the seller. She was from Britian, and the seller was a former BR Driver...a former steam driver.

This was his model of his old locomotive. She had been modified to reflect the engine he used to drive. He had got a new tooling to replace the model, so he was selling the old one, but had wanted the person who bought her to know her significance.

what do you guys prefer to read? 

for me: 

Nowadays I prefer headcanons because I am able to focus longer, but if I have the time I do prefer a long fic thats well thought out, maybe even multiple chapters. Just me, my tea and my f/o.  2nd person fem or GN reader is what I read most, but as long as there aren’t too many descriptions (as there shouldn’t be in a reader insert anyway) I am not that picky. I cannot read first person for some reason. It just doesn’t work well. I can read it for OC fics and character fics, just not for reader insert.  Speaking off, mostly reader insert and I have ‘moods’ in terms of the genre and series I’ll read with. Some days i crave fluff, some days I crave angst. I rarely read nsfw, which is why you don’t see me reblog that. Series can spam over year long obsessions or 3 day moodswings in which i usually crave 1 niche character that has no fics written about them at all. So then I write stuff myself. 

I dont know about posting "a lot" of original content on magic...

Actually I need to go in and make a new tag for my original content...

The bar is set pretty low nowadays on tumblr unfortunately for what "a lot" is in regards to content creation......but I try to post things that are revelant to my practice and I think others might find interesting....

I'm just well, I'm just me, nothing to prove about that.

omg no ofc i don’t mind sharing!!!!! hazel is my manifest oc!! it’s not that popular, but it’s this show on nbc, where basically a flight goes missing for five years and when it comes back none of the passengers have aged a day and thought it was a normal flight!!

hazel was on the flight, and comes home to an interesting family situation. she’s always had some… drama with her sister and basically has to adjust to a new world where all of her friends are suddenly graduating college when she was just getting ready to go. it’s very angsty and very sad because my poor hazel just needs a BREAK but, her love interest is olive stone and they are so pERFECT together :)))

I mean first and foremost prepare yourself for heartbreak over these two. There are so many songs about breakups and just general emotional pain that serve as Maizel inspo to me (catch me plugging the Delirium playlist right now) my favourites being I Have Questions by Camila Cabello, Funeral by Zara Larsson and Even if it Hurts by Sam Tinnesz. 

When Maisie returns Hazel is hella pissed. She’s spent nearly two years missing Maisie, but when she returns that pining for her best friend suddenly turns into a realisation of ‘hang on a second, she abandoned me’. Everyone else is just glad she’s okay (except for Matty who doesn’t trust Maisie one bit) and they all welcome her back with open arms so Hazel is forced into seeing Maisie everywhere constantly, with the people who helped her with the grief of losing her dad and best friend in one night, which is only going to make her angrier.

Eventually Hazel will start to forgive Maisie when she realises what Maisie has been through in the time that she was away, and when she finally accepts that it wasn’t Maisie’s decision to leave. But at the end of Paroxysm something will come to light that might threaten their entire friendship altogether… but as the biggest plot twist of the story I can’t really reveal what that is. 

So basically, in short it’s gonna be a combination of Maisie begging for forgiveness, Hazel being stubborn AF, and a hell of a lot of miscommunication and secret keeping.
