Track 6 - Hazard Light

Okay, I really want to know something. When I was learning to drive, one of the first practical lessons was how to find the hazard lights and how to use them. I was taught how to recognize them and what they meant. Do they no longer teach this anymore?  Or does everyone else in the world just delete the info from their brains?

So my father broke down in the turn lane of a busy street. I stayed behind him with my hazards on since his were really dim due to the battery having died and the angle from the van to the sun at that hour. Despite the fact that my hazards were bright, easily seen, andon, cars kept pulling up behind me and waiting! A couple of them through two or three lights! Some of these cars were blowing their horns at us like mad! And one woman started cussing us out!

There were a few people who obviously realized and went around quietly and immediately, and I can understand a few people just not realizing that bothsets of lights were blinking until a little after pulling up behind us. It's also understandable that cars didn't know we were stuck when they pulled up behind the clueless one behind us. But most of these people were just sad. Can you believe there were people who saw the cars ahead of them (numerous cars even) go around us and turn and stilltheypulled up behind us and got mad that we weren't moving?

Why are you driving if you don't know what something as basic as hazard lights are and /or are too oblivious when driving to notice them until 5 minutes after you pull up behind someone and have them obviously waving you around? No really. If you cannot pay attention to the road and other cars  or you do not know what hazard lights are and what they mean, then you have no business driving! Youare a hazard yourself! Learn how to drive before you do something even more stupid and get someone killed!
