This hawk made an attempt on some of the hens while I was out with them. Thankfully, it didn't even get close; they dove for cover immediately. The rooster hurried the hens near him into the coop but 3 girls were hiding under a fir tree and were too scared to leave. I herded them out so they'd join their flock, at which point the hawk left.
