I get why they did it, but Charlie and Technodad saying Technolarp has good intentions is just false. He's been manipulative from the start, ignoring Technodad's obvious discomfort by going through with the channel, ignoring Techno's friends (saying he didn't even watch Tubbo when he said he didn't like larping as if that makes his opinion matter less), collabing with Skeppy when he's still morning, telling Charlie penguinz0larp is a huge fan to gain sympathy, lying about not making profit when he has links on his vids to give him money, and now he's keeping the channel with 200k subs instead of deleting, and saying he's "relieved" as if he hasn't done everything in his power to keep that bloody channel going as long as possible.
This man has NEVER had good intentions and I'm surprised no one else is picking up on it.
Yeah, that's the most disgusting thing about all of this. From the start Technolarp was built on nostalgia and mourning. He used people's grief of someone they grew up with (for the fans) or had deep connections with (for his friends and family) to gain a platform quickly.
It might be biased of me to say that doing that shit was disgusting because I used to love Techno and cried when he died (I was really young and deep in the fandom at the time) but in general I think it's so weird how people try to defend his actions even though he's so clearly mocking a dead man and ignoring how it made his friends and family feel.
I also don't hold any strong malice towards Skeppy for collabing with Technolarp since I understand how grief can make you do dumb things that end up making it worse, plus the clips I've seen of them collabing made me feel uncomfortable because it was someone grieving next to a horrible person who was pretending to be the person he was grieving.
I hate the excuse that Techno would have found Technolarp funny. I do agree that he may have found it funny, but Technos friends and family feelings take TOP PRIORITY. Also, we didn't know Technoblade, he may have found that shit hilarious or he may have found that shit lame, we didn't know him, his family and friends did.
He (Technolarp) did it for clout 100%. Clout and money chasers tend to lose morals (or show they didn't have certain morals to begin with) in their chasing, we've seen it with multiple celebrities and micro-celebrities.
One final note, a good portion of the "larptubers" I also tend to find weird because they're cosplaying as predators and abusers because of nostalgia.
