SEBASTIAN  TAKES  A  SLOW  SIP  from  his  wine  before  responding  .  it’s  dark  ,  dark  outside  and  dark  in  here  ,  and  the  muted  television  plays  something  STUPID  and  provides  the  only  source  of  light  within  his  cozy  apartment  .  he’s  been  sitting  beside  auggie  for  a  few  hours  now  ,  waiting  for  him  to  stir  ,  waiting  for  him  to  FINALLY  COME  TO  ,  and  now  that  he  has  . . .  ❝  mm  ,  a  few  hours  .  you’re  lucky  i  got  there  when  i  did  .  you  fell  asleep  the  moment  i  started  carrying  you  out  of  there  .  ❞  his  eyes  focus  and  unfocus  on  the  television  for  a  while  ,  but  soon  he  turns  to  his  companion  on  the  couch  ,  studying  him  ,  ENSURING  HE’S  OKAY  .  ❝  you  were  exhausted  .  i  dropped  a  pan  in  the  kitchen  earlier  and  i  was  sure  you’d  wake  from  that  ,  but  you  were  OUT  .  ❞  one  more  sip  of  pinot  noir  ,  and  sebastian  rises  .  ❝  let  me  get  you  something  to  eat  and  drink  —  DO  YOU  HAVE  ANY  PREFERENCE  ?  ❞  when  he  rounds  the  couch  ,  he  quickly  checks  auggie’s  forehead  for  a  fever  ,  large  palm  covering  the  entirety  of  skin  beneath  his  hairline  .  ❝  seem  to  be  doing  better  .  you  were  running  rather  hot  when  i  brought  you  here  .  ❞
