Bea heaved a sigh of relief when she finally saw a break in the seemingly endless line of trees ahead of her. “We’re almost there, Lina,” she called over her shoulder. Not expecting a response given the blonde’s earlier injury (which she had of course waved off, claiming that she was fine), the brunette continued forward until she realized that she hadn’t heard a second set of footsteps for the last minutes. She whipped around in time to see Lina beginning to slump down to the ground where she was leaning heavily against a tree. Jogging back to her partner, Bea swore under her breath. “Merda. I knew I should have called in for a closer rendezvous point.”
