That's really not surprising. People were running their mouths before the identities and genders of the victims had been released. There are still people I know on facebook who are believe that there were 7 victims instead of 6 (the 7th body was the shooter's), that all 7/6 were women, and that all the deaths happened at the same time (when the shooter shot up the sorority house), and that he's an MRA.
But now it's been revealed that 3 men were stabbed before the shooting even happened, then an additional man was killed after the shootings at the sorority house (in a deli, I believe), and I haven't seen any evidence that he was affiliated with an MRA group. I can't wait to see all the backpedaling and victim erasure that gets pulled.
It's amazing what people can learn, when they shut their mouths and wait for all the facts to come out.
