Also I just remembered scientists found a planet that's a massive diamond. Saying it now: that's the Homeworld and the planet is the leader.
Ha, I'm assuming you mean in real life? I mean, if the diamond shaped insignia isn't an indicator, I don't know what is.
I feel like all the corrupted gems have breakdowns similar to Amethysts's, where they lash out and turn into monsters. Homeworld gems don't have that corruption, so they look down on them and hunt them and bubble them like they're nobody. Which is why Lapis hated the crystal gems, because she was also made on earth.
It could be! Not really knowing the personalities of the Earth born gems makes it a little bit harder for me to completely latch onto that idea- but considering Amethyst continued to say she was 'bad' throughout the episode it does seem to point that way.
I'm sort of doubting that Lapis is a Earth born gem just because of how desperate she was to get back to space. But that could be me.

Yeah!!! It's pretty surprising to me that Amethyst is not from the Homeworld, (I'd sort of expected them all to be from the Gem Planet- thus making it easier to form a separate team from the rest of Gem kind) but overall I'm really impressed with how the plot and pace of these reveals is shaping up!
I a,ways thought since earth is one of the most mineral rich planets we know of, the gems were drawn to here and tried to create more gems out of the minerals here. They came to earth for what's inside it. This didn't go well because Rose Quartz saw humanity and connected with us, so she took a stand and began a massive war to save us. Bonus: pearls are non-mineral gems, they're organic and only found here, so she is an Earthborn gem but either doesn't know or doesn't accept it.
Oooh that's an interesting take on it! Esepcailly since it could explain better the draw the Gem's had to Earth in the first place. I like it I like it.
