5/24 and 5/25, I focused on learning about hatching! Yesterday, I watched a video about hatching in general and I learned that you can build up layers and use different thicknesses to create darker shades. I decided to sketch a cup using cross hatching which was very fun! It was a bit time consuming to use just lines and not using a blender but I like how it turned out. Today, I decided to experiment with cross hatching once again. I watched a video focused on cross hatching which showed some great examples of some famous artists like Rembrandt who used cross hatching which was very helpful. I decided to draw a vase in my room and created a still life using cross hatching! I had a lot of fun using this technique and will definitely use it in the future.
