The strange little document had been slipped in with a blank mission report form given to him by the one woman he knew always had spares - Sakura. He'd proposed a week ago and he figured it was her way of being her usual "bossy" self while still cracking a joke. He'd smiled at the paper, filled it out, and signed it with his henohenomoheji at the bottom (1/2)

A piece of paper slid under the door of her office.Â
She almost knew what it was. There was only one other person on the floor if she didnât count the new presence that decided to flit here and there. Really, if he didnât want her to know, she wouldnât.
Considering she did know, a smile spread over her face as she got up to retrieve the little slip she had hidden in his mission report.
Name: Hatake Kakashi Age: 36. How well do we know each other?: Quite well, I suppose. Do you have a pet name for me?: No but the ninken have several. Do I have a pet name for you?: I donât know, do you? Are you attracted to me?: Sakura, I asked you to marry me last week. Of course Iâm attracted. Why do you want to marry me?: Way too many reasons to list. Big wedding or Small wedding?: Small. Do you see children in our future?: We havenât discussed it.
Her smile grew. She could hear his slight aggravation at this little tease, getting back at him for waiting so long. Really, she had been about to ask the damn question herself before he murmured it into her shoulder during a rare sunrise they were able to watch.
Sakura could claim she wanted to make sure he was serious all she wanted, they both knew it was a lie. She really just wanted to poke a little fun before giving him her answer.
Opening the door to find her boyfriend leaning lazily against the frame, she tugged him in. It was habit now; close the door, tug down his mask, pull him into a dizzying kiss that usually ended up with her pressed to the wall. Only this time, she ended up sitting on her desk while his hands gently massaged her hips.
âI want children.â Sakura watched him carefully, noting any hesitation that might arise. He stilled, but he didnât freeze. It was a good sign. âNot right away. We can have time to ourselves for a bit, but eventuallyââ
âChildren,â Kakashi repeated and she smiled at the slight daze in his tone.
Nodding, she stayed silent. It was a testament for how well they knew each other that she could read the thoughts dance across his face before they settled. Her palms cupped his jaw and she fell into a slow, soft kiss so at odds with the one earlier.
âYes,â she finally breathed against his lips. âIâll marry you.â
