7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

HONESTLY, i can’t remember much of what i’ve written in the past but i really like the line: ‘Eugene wasn’t sure how he felt about that, the knowledge lodging itself into his chest like shrapnel, sharp when he twisted to kiss Snafu’s palm.’ from a sledgefu fic i wrote recently, just because of the imagery of shrapnel re: the war and the general Mood of mixed painful feelings that eugene kinda finds himself swimming in for most of the fic :^)

8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

my dialogue has really developed (imo) recently, and especially since i first started my ao3 account, just because i’ve finally grasped the reason behind dialogue in fiction which is: not giving everything away so i really like: 

“You just wanna save the world, huh?” Leon said, and when Elliot looked over he was watching him petting Snarf, a smile on his lips. Elliot imagined leaning in, skating his fingers over his jaw, kissing that mouth. Touching his fingers to the bare skin of Leon’s hip and having him touch him back. He blushed, turned his attention back to the cat.

“Doesn’t everyone?” He said, quiet, and Leon made a considering noise.

“Not everyone,” Leon said, and rose from the couch to cross through to the little kitchenette. “You know that. You want coffee?”

just because i think it conveys a lot that doesn’t have to be Said out loud: that elliot has this overwhelming urge to Save and that it’s recognisable, but that he doesn’t quite realise that not every so called ‘Good’ person wants that too

17. Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?

start to finish! though normally, i begin with a scene in my head that may be the end, or the beginning or a middle scene, and then i build the story to that and then down... i always find it awkward when i write one of these scenes that Come to me and then attempt to fit it into the fic as a whole
