The most horrible DBD headcanon!
You know the crowns from last year.. and very likely coming up this year. So terrible horror related headcanon AU. (Note: this is an in universe explanation for why not all the survivors have crowns. I know the IRL reason, I just feel this would be an interesting explanation. This will not be part of my primary DBD Verse its just a fun little mental exercise.) You know the crowns really don’t look like crowns they look kind of like halos. What if getting a crown means that you are already fully dead and can never truly escape the Entity’s Realm? That anybody who has a crown is doomed to eternally be the Entity’s plaything. So this means some interesting things. Bill didn’t actually die, he can escape. Freddy despite being dead, still can escape(I’d say that’s because he’s pretty powerful and it’s taking a lot for the entity to even just keep him here.) And now to hurt myself... The alive survivors figure out a way to escape... And you know my favorite ship is Harrifield.... Steve is so excited to leave and then realizes that Dwight can’t leave... he’s dead, he can’t go anywhere...
