Mother’s Day

niall / fluff / part 1 of 5

With the baby sling secured around his waist, and baby cuddled close to his chest completely content with a small hat covering his soft fresh head, Niall was ready. As you watched your husband and son bundle up for the chilled afternoon in the town, tummy to tummy and harnessed together safely, you imagined the fun times they would share today, and continue to do so for many more years to come.

Relationship status: ummmm single but I’m trying to change that Favourite colour: burgundy is my love Lipstick or chapstick: chapstick- lipstick looks awful on me Three favorite foods: pasta, tomatoes and I LOVEEEEE Danish pastries Last song I listened to: Tightrope from The Greatest Showman Soundtrack Last movie I watched: I think it was The Greatest Showman even though that was like a week ago Top three shows: Shadowhunters, Mock The Week and I just finished watching Hunted and I am obsessed, it’s such a cool concept  Top three favorite bands: 5sos, All Time Low and Twenty One Pilots Top three favorite artists: My main man Olly Murs, Ed Sheeran and I’m probably going to say Harry Styles Book I’m currently reading: loooooooool do fanfics count?

omg !!!!! so maybe yours and harry’s little guy would just ADORE harry’s wardrobe of pretty colours and soft fabrics and the way daddy makes him giggle when he wiggles his hips in his funky trousers, or lets him try on a suit jacket or pussy bow, hopelessly huge on his 3 year old tiny frame.

Harry can’t even take his favourite pair of trousers on tour - a dark blue tone with exciting floral patterns that felt loose in all the right areas, but tight enough to stay upon his small hips. why you may ask??? they were teddy’s favourite pair. and if harry were away on tour, the trousers left the small boy a comforting reminder of his daddy, and that he’d be home soon, just like he always promises. As toddlers tend to have their own odd habits, rubbing the soft fabric against his face before bedtime, is just one of the strangely endearing mannerisms of your baby. “it’s daddy twou-sahs!” he proclaims, before jumping into his own bed, followed by a story, a song, and a kiss goodnight.

so when harry arrives back from tour, with his satchel, suitcase, and yet another box labelled “gucci” you roll your eyes, yet are excited to see what new creation he has most likely concocted in his head for a new outfit idea. 

a kiss to your lips and a gentle rub of your tummy, a silent question; “how is the baby?” before he hears teddy’s little footsteps running down the hall and stopping in the doorway. 

not one bit of his son’s face is untouched from the kissy-monster; 20 days is long enough apart for them both to have teddy curl into his daddy’s neck and breathe him in for a good while.

“got yeh a present teddy, yeh wanna see?” harry feels a little nod from the curly head nestled on his neck and as curiosity spikes within him, teddy glances up to see the big gucci box sat atop the dining room table.

“come help me open it, hm? gonna need someone big an’ strong an’ clever to see what’s inside!” 

a few minutes of unpacking, rustling paper and big drum noises from hitting the box as a fun game (in Teddy’s eyes at least), and alas, the box is revealed to have-

“no way harry” you look into the box to see the supposedly offending item

“what? it’s not like they didn’t offer-”

“FWOW-ERS!” 

The tiny pair of trousers fills half the box, with the other half contains a couple more shirts for harry’s tour. He didn’t mind the cost, once he saw the glee in his little boy’s face, basking in the realisation that the tiny pair of gucci trousers with “fwowers” which were identical to his favourite pair of harry’s, were all his.

“yeh wanna try them on bud? gonna show mummy how much yeh love them?” (needless to say he didn’t have to make it up to you with kisses, as of course you loved the little trousers - just not the not-so-tiny price. but he still laid them upon you that night as his own welcome home gift for you.)

“give us a twirl then rockstar!” you smile as harry had finally helped teddy put his new trousers on, and just for fun, had put his own matching ones on too. as he spins, teddy admires the flowers on his knees, happy that he can take the soft flowers that remind him so much of daddy, everywhere he goes.

“look like YOU daddy! lotsa flowers, an’ soff!’ he giggles as he rushes to the playroom, eager to find his little toy guitar to then beg his daddy to start singing with him. daddy is the best singer on earth, and he doesn’t need to hear anyone else in the world to know that.

“daddy! g’tar! an’ fwowers! we sing?” The little man is out of breath due to sheer excitement, and he doubts he hasn’t been this happy in his whole entire life. 

“okay then teddy styles, show us what you’ve got!” as you and harry sit back together and watch the tiny flare-wearing boy put his toy guitar round his neck and position himself in the centre of the open space before opening his mouth to sing. However neither of you expect the yell of;
