I got a new instrument!
I guess I gotta say something now.
I just got back from a trip to Atlanta, where I met with @spacemouse, someone from my past a few of you might remember.
Heβs the only reason I survived my time at his school - survived the beatings, the starvation, the sexual abuse, all at the hands of my ex-husband.
He saved my life.
I chose to go on this trip in the name of forgiving the fraternity, forgiving those unrelated folks merely connected to it. To overcome my hatred and fear. Find some sort of peace for my damaged soul.
And last week, while there, he surprised me with a brand new harp, one I can easily travel with. This is not a small purchase. The folks at the Atlanta Harp Center looked at him like he was insane. I am still in complete disbelief.
This world does not deserve people like him.
