💚: How long have you been working on your WIP?

Ahahaha a few years at least.  I’m going at my own pace just improving my writing and art, having fun, expanding on the world I’ve built and exploring it.  Though I try to write or draw every day to contribute something to it!

💓: Is it part of a series or standalone?

It’s going to be a series! 

Right now I have the main narrative of Ira’s story drafted as a trilogy:  “Hybrid”, “Sapien”, and “Anima”.

But I also have plans for an accompanying prequel, in the form of two intertwined backstory novellas: “The Moon Prince”, and “The Sun’s Lament”.

❣️: Which scene has been hardest to write so far?

The scene where Ira is first introduced to the other Hybrids has been the most difficult for me so far - it’s gone through multiple rewrites.  Mostly just because it involves juggling a lot of characters, situational factors and a new environment; and on top of that, keeping a pulse on my freshly-traumatized MC through the whole scene. 

It’s a lot to keep track of in a chapter where the first impressions matter.

“Moving Targets.” A middle-aged mercenary is employed to hunt down a group of rebel soldiers on a jungle island continent on a planet in the Methusela star system. He finds them, which is difficult given that they’re always on the move, but due to some stolen tech, he can’t actually take them out from afar. So he joins up with them with the express purpose of taking them out one by one in accidents or in their sleep, but comes to understand and value them through the time he spends with them. Eventually his backup hones in on his position and a set of drones are deployed to take them out, but the merc turns his gun on them and shoots them out of the air before taking the rebels to find a way off the island.

Honestly I keep forgetting about it and then remembering it again xD it FEELS completely bonkers but also the showrunner for this is gonna be the same guy who showran Infinity Train, which was apparently pretty good? So I’m keeping an eye on it like 👀
