It’d been long enough. At least it’d been long enough by Harley’s standards. He couldn’t take leaving the tower by himself, eating with people that didn’t get his odd sense of humor. He loved his housemates dearly, but there were just certain things they all couldn’t connect on all the time. But that line of thinking did not apply when speaking about Ryder. He thought he’d be a little miffed. Maybe a little more than miffed that he’d technically lied to get him out of the tower and the funk he’d been in.
Harley had been sitting at one of the tables for nearly a half hour. Bloody birds so finicky. He stood up from the table, ready to just charge in and demand he talk. Turned on his heel, Harley finally heard Ryder calling out. He shouldn’t have smiled but he did. A moment more and Harley slowly came slinking out from behind a set of bookcases, arms folded over his chest. “Well it’s about time you drag yourself out.” He slightly scolded, the smile still hovering but not as prominent. “Come on we’ve got a game play.”
Ryder stopped in his track when he saw Harley and glared. It’d be just like Harley to set this up. “Where the hell is everyone else?” He stayed rooted to the spot for the moment.

“So you ready to have some fun? What’s first? Joke shop? Or maybe the Quidditch Supply Store! It’s been a while since I’ve had some butterbeer and the chips at the Three Broomsticks are amazing.”
Bar F(ight)un || Harley & Jaspyr ft. special guest
Setting: April 3rd, 2015. Night. Bar (where Harley happens to work) not too far from campus.
Notes: Jaspyr goes out to the bar with a few friends and gets into a confrontation with the bartender.
Warning: alcohol, mentions of frozen
Jaspyr figured that after a few days of moping around , she ought to do something about. Celine had made her realize she did have friends, even if she'd lost a few of the more important ones in the past few days. On top of that, she had plenty of people she could get drunk with. There was the entire soccer team for example. She wasn't really ready to call a truce- especially after they'd stolen her leg- from there entire prank war, but maybe a nice bonding, drinking session was the right mood to take the competition to the next step. They didn't have to know that of course- but either way she knew they'd be down for drinks and that was all she needed to know before she invited them all out. She vaguely knew that Harley worked one of the bars not too far from campus- and since she was already transitioning into her reckless mode- she figured she would go to that bar specifically.
Harley had been working her shift for a couple of hours now. The bar wasn't exactly that full of customers but just enough for the girl to handle. Everything seemed to be going well for her, earning tips, getting easy and calm customers just chatting away at the bar or playing a few games of pool. The music was at a reasonable volume and so were the conversations being spoken in between customers. It would be an effortless night for her which she honestly didn't mind.. or so she thought as she wiped down the counter, suddenly looking up to see the a big crowd of men rushing in through the door.
Jaspyr walked into the bar with a grin on her face as she followed behind the rest of the boy's football team. She didn't think to invite any of the girl footie players because she kind of wanted all of the drunk attention to herself. "We're here, and we're ready to break all of hell loose!" Or at least whatever capacity of hell could fit inside the bar in the next few hours. She laughed as she walked over to face Harley. "I just wanted to... thank you in advance for being such a wonderful host tonight." Walking away she took the arms of one of the guys she'd brought with her. "Order me something that will get me almost instantly drunk...please." She threw him some cash and walked over to the rest of the guys.
Harley 's eyes followed as they all began to disperse around the bar. Her usual customers were already making faces at their loud actions but Harley's attention snapped to the small brunette walking towards her. Jaspyr, of course she had to be the one behind it all. Squinting her eyes and crossing her arms over her chest she looked down at the brunette standing across from her. "Right. Keep it under control or I won't hesitate to kick you out, Jaspyr." she warned, raising a brow as she walked away. Preparing drinks as the guys approached and order, Harley's eyes stayed on Jaspyr the entire time, wanting to kick her out already.
Jaspyr gave directions complete opposite of what Harley had just told her. In a state like this the last thing Jaspyr wanted to do was listen to what anyone else had to say. She was reckless as it was and Harley was only going to make that worse. "I need....", she began as she tapped on the table. "Music. Like really good music to dance to. Maybe one of you guys will get lucky if you choose the right song-" She pushed herself up so she could see over the heads of the other guys at the table straight to the bar. "Or maybe if my drink got here faster!", she shouted. "And while you're at it get a round of shots for all of your lovely teammates! The more alcohol, the more fun!" She fell back in her chair after practically chanting, and laughed to herself. She was almost positive that motto was used somewhere, and if it wasn't existent already, then props to her for creativity.
Harley continued to pour drinks, counting how many she had been giving out. She would give them a limit if they began to act reckless due to the alcohol. Hearing Jaspyr shout, the brunette rolled her eyes trying her best to keep herself from reacting. This was her job, one she needed to desperately keep and she couldn't let Jaspyr get in the way of that. Waiting for her to sit down before saying anything, Harley bit the inside of her cheek, preventing herself from acting like a babysitter, constantly having to tell the other girl what to do. "Keep your girl together or you're all out." she warned the rest of the team just as she had warned Jaspyr.
Jaspyr let out an exaggerated sigh as Harley's message was delivered with the drinks. After downing it in one sitting and a few gulps, she formed fists with her hands and banged against the table. "BLAH BLAH BLAH." If Harley honestly thought she had control over Jaspyr tonight she was wrong. She looked down at the round of shots on the table and something in the back of her head told her she shouldn't be mixing drinks but every other part of her said 'fuck it'. "I need to get control of this music. We should be playing that Shots song and chanting right about now. On the bright side- this means we'll have to have another round later." She lifted her tiny glass and laughed before trying to say something motivating. "Um..... yeah." She said as she grinned and threw back her shot.
Harley held in a low groan as she continued making drinks for her other customers. Looking over at her tip jar, the girl sighed knowing the tips would come slowly to a stop with Jaspyr and her team around. She would have to try her best to keep them all under control but she was one person of course, and couldn't tell them all to go so soon, business is business as her boss would say. Hearing Jaspyr discuss music, Harley quickly hid the stereo remote in her back pocket not wanting her to have any control over her bar.
Jaspyr stayed at the table for a couple of minutes, listening to what the other guys were going on about. There was a bad call in the game the other weekend, this girl who wouldn't give another guy the time of day.. and even some chatter about a few of the pranks Jaspyr had pulled on them within the past few months. As she listened, she peered around the room looking for some kind of control panel. She could scream along to songs and try to dance all night and have the best time- as most people did. Right as another conversation was transitioning, or skipping, since the guys has to practically jump in right after someone finished their statement if they were going to say anything at all, she pushed herself up from the table with a giggle and a little stumble in her step as she walked across the room and reached over a coupld sitting in a booth to grab the black box sitting on the wall besides them. What was actually a napkin dispenser, Jaspyr took for a stereo box. "Little man... I know there's a little man controlling this box and I know you can hear me. I want... different- no no... I have to be specific. I want you to play Wallpeper. Oh gosh- I'm not out drinking with Evan... but- it'll be alright- I just need you to play some wallpaper music songs- and everything will be alright- and I wont rip out your wires and little man parts to pieces. Just this one request.. that's all I ask.." As she stepped back and let go of the box on the wall.. she glanced at both of the drinks sitting on the table and took the one to her left, walking back to the center of the room. After taking a gulp she swung her hips to the side and pointed towards the box she had just been talking to. "Now hit it!"
Harley had just distracted herself, keeping herself busy with other customers and not worrying about Jaspyr but sudden gasp from a couple caught her attention again. "What the hell?" Harley spoke to herself, raising a brow and walking around the bar, only to fold her arms and stare at Jaspyr in disbelief along with her glare of course. Shaking her head and laughing at the embarrassing act Harley gave the girl a few more seconds just for self enjoyment before walking up to her. "Seriously Jaspyr, you're embarrassing yourself. Go sit down."
Jaspyr turned around when she heard a voice on the other side of her. "YOU. You work here.. you tell the little..." she moved around and wrapped her arm around Harley's shoulder, pointing to the box again. "You make the little plan play the wallpaper music!" She pulled away from her and pointed a finger on her chest right inbetween her boobs. Laughing to herself first about where the finger just happened to land, she cleared her throat before speaking. "But if you're not going to do that... than I don't really want you around here. And don't tell me what else you think I shouldn't or shouldn't do. Cause... I'm not gonna listen." She took another gulp of the drink she'd just stolen from the table and danced around Harley before going back over to her friends.
Harley kept a stern look on her face before smacking the girls finger away from her chest. Now she was beginning to piss her off, taking drinks from people and causing a scene, especially refusing to listen to Harley. Watching her walk away once more, Harley breathed before turning to the table she had taken the drink from. "I'm sorry Jo, I'll get you a new one, no charge." she informed her customer while they responded with a scoff before walking back to her bar and preparing a drink. "Keep it cool, Harley.. She'll leave soon." the girl told herself, tapping her fingers on the bar impatiently. She knew Jaspyr was messing with her, testing her patience but she couldn't give in so easily. She was working and on her own too. She had to be the mature and responsible one but she had a feeling that wouldn't be the case for her anymore, not with her around.
Jaspyr kept moving around the table in wobbly circles, occasionally glaring back at the box on the wall which refused to listen to her. "You know what... I'll just have to create my own music." She climbed up on the chair with her drink still in her hand, looking down at her friends before she finished her climb. "You guys better not leave me hanging or I'll just look stupid..." As if she didn't look dumb already. Extending her leg and moving some things out of the way with her foot , she barely made her way onto the table without falling, thanks to the help of two guys below her. She knocked a glass full of ... who knows down onto the floor while she was at it, but she was soaking in all the attention and paying focusing too much on her upcoming performance to care about the spilled drink. She raised her glass and shouted. "This one's for you, Evan! Fuck Tabitha! As for the rest of you.... fill in the blanks, without spilling your dranks. Like I just did.."
Harley walked quietly back to the table, delivering the drink before the sound of a glass shattering made her spin on her heels, her hair whipping in the wind. Clenching her jaw Harley's eyes squinted in annoyance as she watched the girl drunkenly fumble around, yelling in the air. Her use of profanity caused elders around in the bar to make face and glare at Harley for not taking care of the problem. Walking over and pushing the bigger men from the football team out of her way, Harley's arm reached up for Jaspyr, pulling her down. "That's it, you're out." she began angrily, needing to get them all out before they caused her any more trouble.
Jaspyr fell down, stepping on a friend's lap as she made her way down. "Sorry Ray!" She turned back to Harley with a half snare, half frown as her drink splashed over her arm. "What do you think you're doing? This may not be America but I'm pretty sure I have a freerightdom to speech! And if these old HAGS have a problem with it, they can leave! You're probably making more off of me and my friends than you get from that couple over there in a week." She looked away from Harley and smile as the couple whose drink she'd stolen only a few minutes ago. "Thank you again.", she said with a smile. "Looking back at Harley and squinted her eyes before shoving her away. "Now get off of me!" Slipping away from Harley and leaned over the table and brought up her knee as she tried to climb back up again.
Harley forcefully shook off her arm, wiping off Jaspyr's spilled drink from her leather jacket. Squinting her eyes, the brunette could feel her anger rising and also the feeling of eyes on her back as offended and bothered people waited for her next moving, expecting something from her since she was the one in charge. Suddenly feeling her shoulders push back and her heels stumble backwards, Harley furrowed her brows and bit down on the insides of her cheeks as she grabbed the girl again. "No, the only place you're going is out the damn door." she exclaimed to her while taking the drink from her hands. Beginning to push the surrounding crowd of men around them, Harley began to drag Jaspyr by the arm towards the door, having enough of her.
Jaspyr , refusing to leave right when he fun was beginning, lifted her foot and kicked, with her good leg of course, at Harley's hip. If pushing her wasn't enough she was going to get her way through another manner. "Let me have my fun!!! Just go make some stupid drinks of something. and have one yourself, since you obviously need to CHILL."
Harley 's body immediately flew to the side, colliding in with one of the tables. A quick sharp pain hit at her hip but she wasn't giving up just yet. This was her bar and god damn it was she going to get Jaspyr out, one way or another. "And you obviously need to leave, now." she spoke as she turned around, running a hand through her hair, trying her best to keep herself from hitting the obnoxious girl. "You're acting like a child, now move." she said to her, grabbing her wrist and pulling on her.
Jaspyr "Don't-stop- get off of me!" She used her free hand to reach for Harley's hair, and twisted her wrist before yanking downwards and hopping back. She turned and to look at the guys she'd brought with her. She didn't want them to get involved- the last thing she needed was Harley to get jumped by a bunch of guys. Jaspyr didn't need her that hurt. "If she wins this fight, keep raising hell. Never give up on your dreams, boys! Or men, whatever the hell you want to be called!"
Harley 's head snapped back at Jaspyr's force on her hair, now bringing out a raging Harley. "Are you insane?!" she shouted back at her, her reaction quickly being pushing her back. "I've been wanting to kick your ass since day one and now you're really asking for it." she said through gritted teeth, ignoring the glares and stares coming from her customers who were already on their feet, watching everything happen before them.
Jaspyr widened her eyes when Harley finally pushed her back, but quickly snapped out of the shock, knowing she had to stand her ground. "Yes! I am and I'm proud! What's YOUR EXCUSE?" Using the push to distance herself , she she kept her eyes on Harley as she moved back and side stepped around the table before making a sprint forwards to the main bar. If she was going to leave eventually she might as well make the best of her night. Harley had been keeping a close eyes on her and predicted her move as she lunged towards the beloved bartender- so she ducked when Harley reached for her. She grabbed the first bottle she could reach once she got to the bar and quickly screwed off the top, bringing the bottle straight to her mouth." Holding it out to her side, she turned back towards Harley and screamed in return. "Come at me! It's not like you'll win anyways!"
Harley gave the girl a chance to run and make a fool out of herself. She wouldn't chase after her, that wasn't like her but seeing her take sprint towards the bar, Harley knew she would have to stop her knowing it was an expensive bottle and that it would come out of her paycheck for even being opened. "Don't test me Jaspyr." she threatened as she approached her in her usual strut, just quicker than usual. "Get out of my bar." she spat at her, smacking reaching for the bottle and taking it quickly into her hands. Grabbing her by her ear like a child, Harley had enough and pulled as tightly as she could without actually ripping her ear off. "Move." she said to her as she pushed her to get her moving.
Jaspyr cried out. "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Having two free hands, she swung fists randomly in front of her, hoping one of them would get HArley in a bad spot and knock her out of whack so she could go for another bottle. She kept swinging while she rambled on about nonsense. "This is how they do it in your little trailer parks, isn't it? You should fight better than this! Huh? Huh? You want to come at me, you want me to leave, well you're gonna have to work for it! Just like you had to work soooo hard for a decent life! But do you even have that yet? Well, I don't think so. I mean look at you you basically begging for tips to pay your college education and I'm sitting here with me GOOd friends trying to have a GOOD time and you're ruining the fun once again!! Don't let your problems control everyone elses life, Harley!! That was the same mistake you made and high school and look-" ,she paused to catch her breath as her swings began to weaken, trying to gather up strength before she became reckless with a little more power again. "Look where it got you!"
Harley felt Jaspyr's fist suddenly collide with her lip before hitting the side of her eye. Moving her head back, the brunette tried her best to keep her tough act together as her words continued to hit her, one after the other more than the other. "And look at you! Taking after your family, huh? Becoming an alcoholic and just being a big embarrassment, right?" she spat back before hitting her in the gut to get her to calm down and stop her swings.
David bit at his bottom lip as he glanced down at his phone, wondering if Harley would mind if her paid her a visit or not. She was actually someone David wouldn't mind talking to, and he wondered if she thought the same of him or not. Maybe he could ask her when he saw her. He pursed his lips as he fixed his messy, dark hair in the mirror, getting his keys, his phone and his wallet as he made his way out of his dorm room to find his way to the bar. He walked into the bar the just as Jaspyr hit Harley, and he was a little surprised when Harley hit her back. What the hell? It took him a moment to walk forwards again, and he blinked a second before he tried to part them. "Whoa, what's going on in here?"
Jaspyr "You take that back! My step dad only drank occasionally and - and well- yeah! But he certainly wasn't an alcoholic! And.. I'm just having--" She doubled over clutching her stomach , everything being over exaggerated when it came to Jaspyr- especially now that she was drunk. "Ow! That hurt, yanno!" She popped up when she heard a vaguely familiar voice and raised an eyebrow at him. "When did you even have time to call Dan? And if you think he's going to save the day- you're wrong! Unless you suck his DICK within the next five seconds- cause that's the only way he seems to take interest in people." She screamed before glaring at David and kicking Harley in the crotch before stumbling back to the bar and grabbing another bottle.
Harley clutched over as she caught her breath, looking up at David. Holding a finger up to him indicating to wait, she angrily walked over taking the bottle again before bending her arms towards her chest and elbowing Jaspyr in the mouth. "Let's see you try to drink with a broken lip, you little shit." she said loud enough for her to hear as she walked around and placed the bottle back into it's place.
David "I-" David narrowed his eyes at her, holding his tongue before he decided on saying something else. "You're drunk, and it's really better if you go back to your dorm instead of making an ass of yourself in front of the entire bar. Yes?" He arched his eyebrow at her, groaning in annoyance when Harley elbowed the other girl in the mouth. "Okay, honestly. Cut the crap." He held Harley by he arm and tugged her behind the counter, holding his hand up before he walked back towards Jaspyr. "Stay behind the counter. I'll deal with her." He glanced over at Jaspyr, then to Harley with an almost reassuring smile. David was never any good at parting fights. "Come on. You look ridiculous." And David reached forward to grab Jaspyr's arm.
Jaspyr "It's a muscle skin thing.. It can't break! Tear maybe and still, I have the other side of my mouth to drink with so... ha!" Holding her jaw with one hand, she reach forward to slap Harley just as David began to drag her away, and then took another kick while inching forward. "Or maybe he already had the chance to come in your mouth, Hm! Is that why he's taking your side? Wouldn't surprise me!" She said, glaring back at David. She muttered under her breath, mocking David as he spoke to Harley. "Stay here, I'll handle her. Blah blah blah. As if I'm some child." She glared and scowled slightly when David came back for her and hopped back when David came for her arm. "Don't touch me! I can do what I want!!!" She bent down lower since it was easier to escape his grasp and less painful than standing before she took a whack at his ballsack. Not waiting for his reaction she reached back for the bar and hopped over the counter to grab a bottle before stumbling back to a booth on the other side of the room. Somehow- within the past ten minutes she managed to figure out that those tables would be more sturdy and easier to get up on. As she tried to make her way up on the seat she screamed- "F-Screw all of you! And not in the way I'd like to- like with a really.. rusty screwdriver up your assholes!"
Harley 's face stung from Jaspyr's hand meeting her face in such speed but before she could get to her, David was already pulling her away. "I don't need any god damn saving.." she said angrily to herself, ignoring Jaspyr's rambling. It was a small world after all then if David and Jaspyr knew each other, especially if she was ranting about him in such way. Glaring up at her, Harley shook her head walking around the bar and pulling her down from the table. Twisting her arms and pushing her down to the ground, Harley held her down with her own body weight, a leg against her back. Her hands never let go of hers, preventing her from any more movement. "Are you done?" she asked her while trying to catch her breath.
David "For fuck's sake!" David walked over to where the two girls were, grabbing Harley as he glared at her. "I am trying to get her to leave, Harley. You aren't helping if you keep retaliating. All right?" He sighed heavily, trying not to roll his eyes as he turned to Jaspyr with a frown on his face. He would have reminded her that his name was actually David and not Daniel - even though she said Dan - or maybe that was just another name altogether and not the shortened form of the name and that made him even a little more annoyed than the first time - but she was drunk and she still probably didn't care either way. He reached over and pulled her up, tossing her over his shoulder. "Guess we're going to have to do this the hard way."
Jaspyr sucked in a sharp breath as she felt herself being lifted from the ground. She didn't know who was carrying her as she was staring at a back- or a chest, who knew, and pulled herself together enough to go crazy again. "What do you think you're doing!! PUT. ME. DOWN. Why does my fun have to end? I just wanted her to leave me alone! I may have hit her first but she's supposed to just deal with stuff like that! Especially coming from that dirt poor town or whatever, people must have fought all the time. Right Harley?!" She kicked her legs as she tried to wriggle free. "LET ME GOOOOOOOO! LIKE ELSA FROM FROZEN AND THE SNOW I WANT TO BE FREEE. THIS IS AMERICA! I HAVE RIGHTS!"
Harley rolled her eyes at David's words. That's exactly what she was trying to do, to control her and get her out but she clearly couldn't even handle that on her own. Sighing to herself, she let David take her away not even wanting to bother with any of it any more. Puffing to herself, she looked around at everyone staring knowing she was wrong for hitting the girl back and not just kicking her out so easily in the first place. "Wrap up your party, you're all leaving too, if you don't I'll call the cops, simple as that." she spoke to them in a defeated low tone as she removed her jacket and walked back around her bar. Tying her hair up and grabbing a small bag, she filled it up with ice and placed it against her lip, tasting the bit of blood from the cut Jaspyr had given her only moment earlier.
David rolled his eyes, "Be quiet. You're making yourself look like an idiot, which I am pretty sure you are not. So stop talking." He walked out of the bar then, pursing his lips as he tried to remember where he had parked his car. He remembered her room from the last time he dropped her off, and he snorted in amusement quietly before he spoke. "Second time coming to your rescue. I might start believing that you're done it on purpose." He clicked his tongue when he remembered where he car was parked, and he started walking towards it.
Jaspyr "Oh how kind of you to care about what I look like to other people.. but I don't care!" She continued kicking and screaming. "PUT ME DOWN NOWWW! No one asked you to come here and save the day I could have easily taken her out on my own now put me back onto the floor so I can enjoy the rest of the night with my friends! And Daniel wonders why he can't get laid.. it's because you do stuff like this and ruin people's nights!" She rolled her eyes so hard at his next comment that they could have gotten stuck in her head. "Just- just... shut up! No one asked you to come this time! Well- I didn't but still!!- shut up! No one wanted you here and- and-why would I want to see if you id I don't have to! You're just an oversized whiny baby who can't get any action."
Harley 's head snapped up at the sudden sound of chaos and glass shattering, single tables being pushed over and chairs tossed around. Her usual customers all began to rush out the door, disgusted with such acts only leaving Harley no option but to call the cops. Sighing to herself, she called informing what was going on only to have the cops show up a couple of minutes later, escorting everyone out. Being approached by policemen, it all fell familiar to her like back home, always having to call the cops around the trailer parks. With a sigh, she went over the usual, giving her name and information and speaking about what happened as they all took notes. Yep, definitely fired.
David "Jaspyr, shut the fuck up. My name is David - but I am pretty sure you love to rile me the fuck up. So continue calling me Dan, honestly. If it gets you off, be my guest." He got his keys from his pockets still holding her, unlocking the car doors. He put her in the back, locking the door before he was in the driver's seat. He got his phone out to text Harley, telling her he'd be back after dropping Jaspyr off.
Jaspyr "Those are fighting words mister! And they'll only make me louder!!!" , she screamed, raising her voice. "D....dav..niel... Same difference- it's all the same- or the different.. who cares!" She tried to gather herself so reach for the door handle but once she had a grip on it, it wouldn't even open the door. "This is kidnapping!!! I can have you arrested for this! GET ME OUTTTTTTTTTTTT. YOU KNOW LIKE THAT... CYNDI LAUPER SONG- GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN, OKAY?"
David "I am trying to get you into your room safely, Jas. Just stop screaming before we both get a headache." He started the car, making his way back to campus. It wasn't all that far, thank God and although he dreaded the noise she'd make while he took her to her room, he knew he was doing the right thing so he didn't even care. Maybe it took him a good ten minutes to get there, having to stop to glare at Jaspyr ever so often, and she was over his shoulder again as he made his way to campus from the school parking lot.
Jaspyr stayed quiet while she was in the backseat of the car. The space was too small for her ears to handle what she was dishing out- but once she was outside again- at least she'd be on campus and have some freedom. Every time he looked back at he she just stuck her tongue out at him, enjoying his pain and grumpiness since no one had even asked him to come help in the first place. Once she was up and over his shoulder again- she put up and even bigger fight. "PUT ME DOWN NOW. Look... it's not even like- I dont know my way back from here anyways- so just leave me be here okay- I don't-" She stopped to kick harder- "Want your help anymore! Just put my down and go back to get your dick sucked- I'll find somewhere else to get drunk and finish off my night. Juuuuuuuuuust leave me be!!!"
David "Are you always this loud? Christ." David rolled his eyes as he neared the corridor, snorting at her comment again. "You sound jealous. Maybe you really ought to stop talking now. And I am actually going back to help Harley, I am pretty sure you're aware of the crap you two got up to in there, and I'd be surprised if the place is in one piece." When they got to the halls, he tried to remember her door room number. It took him a good two minutes, and he set her down in front of her door when he got there. He eyed her up and down to make sure she was all right, and stepped back just a bit before he spoke. "You're welcome."
Jaspyr kept kicking even if they died down as they got closer to the dorm. She didn't want to say anything in response to any of his smart comments. Now that she was back in the dorms again- alone- she just wanted to find more to drink. Maybe if she picked up where she left off she could black out and forget the night and the past few days in its entirety. Shrugging as David finally put her down, it took her a while to regain stability before she turned away from him and started in the other direction. "Thank yous are lame and boring, remember? So you're not getting one."
David smiled despite himself, biting at his bottom lip as he watched her a moment before he was walking in the other direction. He was back at the bar in about fifteen minutes, and he frowned when he walked in again. "What the-?" He glanced around, wondering where the tornado was hiding before he left here. "Uh-" He looked over at Harley, hoping she had an explanation.
Harley began to pick tables off of the ground and stack chairs in the center of the bar, trying her best to keep herself from walking out and ignoring the mess. In the middle of bending over and grabbing another table, she heard David come in through the door and observe the mess around her. "Football players." she informed him, barely looking at him. She was mad at the world and slightly mad at him as well for some odd reason but that wasn't something she needed to worry about right now, she had to focus on the bar and getting it cleaned it up.
David "Football players?" Jaspyr? Probably. He wouldn't really put that passed her. "Let me help you." He got a broom from the corner, clicking his tongue before he placed it back and decided to put the chairs back up on their tables instead. "Are you all right though?" He glanced over at her before his eyes were on the chairs again.
Harley "Besides the cut lip, bruised eye and fucked up bar, I'm grand." she said sarcastically in a careless tone, just being typical Harley. Grabbing a rag and some cleaning spray she began to scrub on the walls, hoping the drinks wouldn't leave a stain. "Didn't even know you two knew each other, such a small world." she sighed softly, shaking her head. Yes, she was mad that Jaspyr and David knew each other but honestly she had no right and she knew it, she was being childish and had to suck it up but just not now, not with the mess the girl caused.
David looked over at Harley, wondering if she was upset with him. Probably not. She had every right to be upset though - the bar was a mess and she was probably going to lose her job. "Yeah, sort of." He shrugged, moving towards another table and another set of chairs. "What happened in here? I mean - with you two."
Harley continued to scrub down on the wall as she listened to him. "Hm.." she simply hummed before listening again and responding to his question. "She probably just did it to piss me off and out of spite. We've never liked each other, never will to be quite honest. But seems like she got me this time.. probably losing my job that I really need, who knows who will hire me next after this and after all being an art major will get you no where in life." she sighed showing a side of her she hadn't shown to anyone around here, not even at home. She was defeated and had to accept it.
David "Oh." David replied quietly, watching her a moment longer before he continued. "Maybe you won't get fired. I mean - I could help you clean up and your boss doesn't have to know. I won't say anything, and I doubt anyone's that annoying to go say something to him. Or her." He wondered what she and Jaspyr disliked each other for. Maybe something that happened in the past, or maybe he missed something. Maybe he could ask her about it some other time. When she wasn't obviously upset. "How's that sound?"
Harley "Pretty sure there's going to be some report on the bar, the police is going to have to get in contact any way. They already spoke to me about it, I won't be surprised if I'm fired tomorrow night or something." she shrugged while spraying on the wall again. "But cleaning up sounds helpful actually. I won't be able to finish on my own." she answered, finally turning around to face him. Looking him over, she wondered if he and Jaspyr ever had something due to what she had yelled before. Without even thinking about it and having no absolute filter she asked. "So, what? Did she ever give you head or something since she was just ranting on and on about it?"
David looked up and his eyes widened slightly when he heard the question. "I- um, no. She's never - it's nothing like that." Where did that come from? "She was drunk anyway." He shrugged, glancing away from Harley to place another chair up on the table. Well - since Harley was being up front - he'd be upfront too. "Why do you ask?"
Harley eyed him as he spat out his answer, she didn't exactly know what to believe but she wouldn't push it any further. Turning around again, she gave him her back while scrubbing again. "Honestly, just curious." she answered. "They say sometimes the truth comes out when you're drunk so I just assumed something went down between you too and that's all she kept yelling and how its the only way to get your attention or whatever. It's nothing though, I was just curious." she answered truthfully.
David "Not all the time." He pursed his lips, grabbing the broom now to help sweep up. "Well, I'm sure you can get a job someplace else then." Right? "Don't worry so much. Doesn't help."
Harley finished wiping down one side of the wall before walking to the other, beginning to clean it as well. "Yeah let's hope so, I really fucking need it." she said in a whisper, more to herself than him knowing that if she didn't find a way to make money sometime soon, she would have to end up going back home and that was definitely not a choice she wanted to make.
David and Harley were both getting somewhere with cleaning, and he got his phone from his pockets to check the time. "Do you need a ride back to campus after? I could take you." It wasn't all that late, but she had already closed up and he figured she was leaving after they had finished. He didn't know if she had a car or not, but he still asked her anyway.
Harley nodded as she looked around, the place being much cleaner than before. Walking over to the bar she gave it one last wipe down before grabbing two beers and her jacket. "For helping me out and probably the last free ones we'll get from here." she chuckled dryly, handing it over to him.
David "It's no big deal." He chuckled softly in response, tilting his head back to down a bit of the drink before he was licking his lips. "Hm. I don't know what's so good about this thing. Wine's a hell of a lot better. You drink wine, Harley?" David arched his eyebrow as he looked at her, bringing the bottle to his lips anyway.
Harley Bringing the bottle up to her lips, the girl took a quick sip before answering his question. "I've been drinking this since I was sixteen, I guess I grew used to it but yeah, I do. Whenever I get the chance to do so." she answered with a small shrug. It was rare for her to drink wine. Most parties she went to only had beer, wine was more of a special occasion kind of thing.
David hummed softly to himself, finishing the alcohol before walking over to a bin to discard it. "Come on, what else do we have to do so we could get out of here?" Harley was good company, he had come to realize that. His mind briefly ran on Jaspyr, and he hoped she had honestly stayed in her room and not decided she'd go wreak havoc somewhere else. Maybe he'd just go to make sure she was all right. He doubted she would answer his calls, and she was drunk - texting wouldn't make any difference either. "How old are you now?"
Harley looked over at him with a small smile. "We just have to mop it down and make sure everything is back into place at the bar. She kept grabbing bottles so I have to check how much they're going to take from my pay." she said quickly before getting rid of her own glass. "I'm twenty by the way." she answered.
David "I could pay for that." He made a gesture with his hand as if it would be no problem, glancing around the bar until he spotted the mop in the corner. "Just let me know what it is, so they don't take it out of your pay. Like you said - you really fucking need it." He smiled softly at her, walking towards the center of the room with the mop in his hand. "You are? Really?" She looked older, and he didn't mean that in a bad way at all - she just appeared to be.
Harley: "No, no it's fine. It was my shift and I didn't handle it, don't worry I'll figure it out." Harley wasn't going to let him pay, this was her mess, she was responsible for it and she always owned up to her mistakes and she knew she would have to do so here. "I am, I'll be twenty one this years fall." she answered with a small chuckle, placing on her leather jacket and letting go of her brunette hair from the hair tie. Grabbing the bag of ice she had made before, she brought it gently to her bruised eye, trying to get it to go down. "You look like you don't believe me." she laughed, leaning against the counter.
Idk maybe there was more after this but if you read this far you get the gist anyways xoxo jay
