"Where ya goin'?" Charlie had popped up in front of him out of nowhere, half-drowning in one of his old t-shirts. It had been large on him - on her it was enormous.

"None o' your business, kid." Remi had just been able to slip the baggie of coke he was about to sell into his pocket before she'd seen it.

"Can I come?" Cutesy grin.

Remi furrowed his brows. "No."

He pushed past her to get out the door and headed down the driveway without closing it behind him, which he realized probably had been a bad idea when he noticed the sound of an extra pair of footsteps behind him on the sidewalk, not even turning around to address his step-sibling. "Charlie, go back in the house. 'm not kiddin'."

Of course, she didn't listen. She never did, until he got too mad and she flipped and threw a tantrum at him. Remi so wasn't in the mood for that at the moment; he was busy, and so there was nothing else to do than let her have her goddamn way. He groaned, running a hand over his face. He'd just begun to grow stubble, which he no way in a million years was going to shave away, and it was scratchy against his palm. Nice.

They walked side by side in silence for a while, Remi having let Charlie catch up with him, but at a corner a few blocks away from Charlie's school, Remi stopped.

"Why're we stoppin'?" She nagged him, jumping a little on her feet. "What's goin' on?" Remi pushed her out of the way a little, willing her to stand still; this was not a good time to attract attention. "Shut the fuck up!" He hissed at her, craning his neck to see if his client was coming yet. Sure enough, there he was, headed towards them in a leisurely pace, not looking nervous or suspicious at all, which was good.

A small gasp slipped out of Charlie when she realized what was happening. Then she grinned and tried to hide it. Remi tried not to roll his eyes.

"Yo!"

Remi had just opened his mouth to greet his client, but Charlie beat him to it, giant smile on her face. The dude looked confused, and Remi gave him an apologetic shrug. "'S my sister. She's cool, don't worry 'bout it."

The dude gave him a nod, glancing over at Charlie for a second before redirecting his attention back to Remi. "So, where's the blow?"

Again, Remi had been about to speak when Charlie jumped in, interrupting him. "How 'bout you show us some cash first, bitch? Money upfront." Honestly, at this rate, he couldn't keep up being angry and annoyed at her. The dude gave him a weird look, and Remi suppressed a laugh. "You heard 'er."
