So seeing how this year is Yongary’s 50th anniversary, I was very happy to learn that the monster lives on to this day as a mascot of chicken nuggets for the south korean company Harim (하림):

There have even been animated commercials featuring him and his friends:

And it goes way back. The following is apparently from 2005, I wonder if that thing Yonggary is riding is supposed to be from the then in-production movie D-War:

And even before that, in 1999, there was of course the Yonggary remake by Shim Hyung-rae (who later directed D-War) in wich the redesigned monster was portrayed as some kind of punk kid:
