you can call me sy or sybil :) this account was made because my x-men brain rot has gotten out of control and i needed a dedicated x-men self-shipping account. this is also a kink friendly account! i'll be posting a lot about my self-ships, fanfics/drabbles and maybe some shit posts.

Sybil || Hareophant Mutant Ability: spiritual psionic

when sybil touches someone they can see into their mind, future and past - depending on the walls they have built. when sybil is close with the person they're reading they re-live the memories/future/past as if they're the person. they can't read minds like charles, but when given access can tap into the person's emotional and mental state. they can sense emotions similar to mantis but can't push emotions onto them - however, when necessary they will trudge up certain memories that may stir specific emotions for the other person.

they describe their emotional and psychic powers as a gift from the gods, as they don't consider it a mutant ability but rather a seidr power. they believe their appearance is what makes them a mutant.

they were raised to believe that the mutant abilities and physical attributes (fur, bunny ears, tail, third eye) wasn't because of mutated genes but rather a gift from the gods. this was instilled their entire childhood, and re-enforced time and time again by their father - the leader of a religious cult and commune.

they were born with the fur, bunny ears, tail, and third eye - and has always been "too sensitive"." (they have undiagnosed autism, adhd and cptsd.) they grew up believing that everyone could tune into the people around them and see their timeline. when they delivered a scary accurate past reading to their father they were declared a prophet and used as the commune's oracle and cult's main draw for new members.

they spent a lot of their time exhausted, constantly looking into people's futures, past and answering meaningless questions over and over day in and day out. when they turned 16 they started to faint after too many readings, burning their mutant ability out and severely affecting their prophetic endurance. this is when they started to cover their third eye, and slowly grew their bangs to be blind bangs to help with visual fatigue. They started using a wheelchair during flare ups to help with the chronic fatigue. still, the lead "priest" needed his preforming monkey bunny.

the first time sybil breaks was in front of a full mass. they had been asked to read for the new members - it had started normal. the son, daughter and mother all had uneventful and boring readings. then the father touched sybil. they remember his hand touching them, flinching at the energy he had around him and then... they were falling

sinking into an inky unfamiliar blackness. they had always had visions, they had always been like watching the memories and seeing the future like a film in their minds eye and not like this. this was different. this hurt. they kept seeing the father committing horrible crimes, like this man's worst moments were on loop for them for a full day. Sybil was then pulled into a glance towards the future. They watched in horror as the man lay in a hospital bed, surrounded by people crying over his dying body. the room was filled with flowers, cards wishing the family love in their loss. Sybil was violently ripped out of his mind, eyes filled with tears and screaming as they woke up. they had passed out after being touched by him, stopping mass. when sybil told their father the things that they saw, the horrible things he had done already - and warned him that there was a predator in the cult. their father just responded with "god forgives all, and asks us to judge none."

sybil ran away from the cult that night, just under 18 as they snuck off into the night. they'd left with very little, only taking their wheelchair and a backpack of stuff. they lived on their own, town hopping and letting themself explore the world that they had been isolated from. sybil would make money by reading tarot for people, not using their powers but their intuition only. they struggled (and still struggle) with going mute at times due to the overstimulation of public places.

their braids have strong spiritual significance for them.

they have a lot of trauma surrounding the things they've seen through others and from the cult - not that they fully recognize the damage their father and childhood have done at this point.

okay onto the self shipping:

logan - so sybil walks into the mansion, a fresh 19 and SOPPING wet. (they'd walked to the mansion barefoot, without their chair in the pouring rain for almost two hours.) Logan happened to be the only one there. he spent the whole night listening to sybil ramble about the cult and the rough year that had led them to Xaviors. the two had bonded a lot over the first few weeks, and become friends with benefits soon after sybil joined the x-men. he's very protective of "his blue bunny." specifically logan and sybil found themself in a recluse cabin in a snowy northern minnesota - sybil's first heat with him. they tease each other a lot and if they spend too much time together they bicker like a married couple. it's their most long-term relationship, and the one without a label. the two were just more comfortable that way.

rogue - sybil and rogue met when sybil was going through flashbacks. they didn't know about each other's powers, sybil didn't know that they would be trapped in Rogue's psyche with her when they bumped into her, their skin barely touching. it took a while to sort out who's memories belonged to who, walking through one another's traumatic memories. needless to say, the two were immediately close and beyond bonded. this is sybil's most serious relationship, wanting to give her the romantic fairytale she deserves. they found out that they grew up in very similar communes, and it was nice having someone to talk to when it came to being scared of touch/being touch starved. they're gonna be married one day owo

wade - when deadpool first meets sybil he makes fun of them -calling them a furry, just really low hanging fruit. the next time they meet, wade bursts into logan's room through a portal. he pretends to cover his eyes, fist bumping sybil's hand which was white knuckling the sheets covering them. before logan or sybil could stop him - sybil was experiencing all of wade's trauma and pain. before touching wade, they thought that logan had gone through the most pain they could experience.... and then they felt how wade's cells were constantly dying and reviving. a constant burning under their skin. they'd passed out. they had phantom pains for weeks, feeling his limbs torn from his body over and over again, watching all the ways he died, the ways he killed... he visited them intentionally the third time, making sure they didn't go into a "trauma coma". sybil explains how their powers work and wade is taken aback. thrown off by having someone understand what he'd been through, and the pain that he lived with every moment of every day. they're so annoying together, and are often annoying logan together.

gambit - sybil was having nightmares and was wandering the mansion late to find gambit in the kitchen. they hadn't really talked before this - just being on different teams and not finding a moment to chat. they ended up talking all through the night trauma session gays watching the sun rise together while they made french toast. gambit and them flirted for a long time before rogue pushed the two to "put ah label ahn it already."

morph - morph didn't like that sybil and logan became a thing so quickly, and was super jealous of how cute sybil was. they came up to sybil, morphed into them and said some pretty nasty shit. morph was the one who cried when sybil started to laugh, thinking that morph was trying to do a roast on them. they ended up comforting the crying morph, and their friendship built on a big gay rainbow bridge after this incident. they are also friends with benefits - although they aren't dating, they call eachother qpp's.
