something I think about A Lot is how perfectly they set up hardy/miller to work perfectly as a couple and horribly as a couple. miller has a lot of similarities to tess (dark curly hair, not afraid to put hardy in his place, detective sergeants) whereas hardy is so different from joe (hair vs bald, beard versus clean shaven, superior officer vs stay at home dad, tall vs short). like how perfect!! does miller being like tess make her perfect for hardy or terrible for him? does hardy being so different from joe make him a terrible fit for miller or her perfect rebound? I wish this had been explored more in the show
