(Ok, so how we all feeling after that last chapter? Angry? Sad? Just Neutral? Whatever the case I think I went too heavy on that last chapter... Like WAY too heavy. Let's do something lighter this time! Maybe we'll even get some guest appearances? Either way let's GOOOO)
"Ok so... I don't think we ever got to the ending did we?" Ojima notes, looking at the colored pages.
"Oh... Didn't we?"
Chiba looks at the pages confused as her and Ojima sit in the library, mulling over the story book as they look.
"Well, the rabbit got to the top of the hill, cause she wanted to see what's on the other side." Ojima says.
"Right!"
"Then, when she made it to the top, she saw the whole village. It was a big village, and she could see everything."
"Uh-huh!"
"But then... She thought it was too big, and began to question whether or not she should even climb the hill at all."
"Right..."
"So... What did she do?" Ojima asks. "Did she climb back down? Did she find some inner strength? What?"
Chiba thinks for a moment, her mind wrapped in thought as Ojima quietly sketches some small touch ups in the book, trying to make it look as nice as possible.
"...I think I have an idea..." Chiba mumbles.
"Yeah? Go ahead. No such thing as a bad idea."
Chiba clears her throat. "Then, just as she was about to climb down, the rabbit saw something waiting for her at the bottom."
"Something waiting?"
"Her friends! 2 big fluffy cats, one with yellow fur and stripes, and the other red and with lots of swirls!"
"Really? I would've thought that the rabbit would have other rabbit friends?" Ojima hums, intrigued.
"Nope! The Rabbit's friends were big and strong! They wanted to protect her, and she wanted to prove to them that she was strong enough to take care of herself when they're not around!"
"I see... I see..."
"So, the rabbit finally took the leap. She jumped off from the hill and down into the village! She landed in the tigers' soft fluffy fur. They had caught her, like they always would whenever she fell!"
"Aw, that's sweet."
"And so, with her newfound friends, the rabbit set up. She wasn't afraid of the big wide world anymore. Because she had her friends by her side! And they'd face down any danger together!"
"I see... I think that's good. It gives the rabbit people to support her while still giving her her own room to grow. And I think havig Tigers is a good metaphor, showing it doesn't matter who you are, you can always be friends." Ojima hums.
"Yeah!" Chiba smiles.
"That's a lot of new pages though, it'll probably be a while till I can sketch them out." Ojima hums.
"That's ok! I can be patient!" Chiba nods.
"I'm glad."
"CHIBA!"
The duo at the table turn, and see Harada and Hama standing in the doorway. Harada is smiling as he comes up to her, Sawa purring away in his bag.
"Sorry we didn't come see you earlier! We were just... sorting out a lot of things..." Harada explains.
"Eh, I'm sure she's plenty fine." Hama shrugs. "Anyways, what are you talking about?"
"Me and Ms.Airi were writing a story together. We originally had it a lot simpler, but she expanded it to have a more proper ending."
"Huh? Is that what those two big cats are for?" Hama asks.
"Yeah!" Chiba smiles. "They're the rabbits friends! Two really big tigers that care about her a lot! As much as they care about each other!"
"Huh, really." Hama grins. "I gotta say, I really like that Yellow Tiger. He's really cute."
Harada blushes. "Well, I'd say the red tiger is really cute too. Even if he's bigger than the other animals."
Hama laughs, his cheeks turning pink. "Well, guess that means you two did a good job on the character designs."
"Thanks..." Ojima shrugs, then stops for a minute as his eyes widen, then turns to Chiba. "Hey wait a minute-"
Chiba giggles. "Something wrong?"
"...Oh." Ojima blushes. "I see. I think I understand the reasoning for the tigers now."
"Cool, right?"
"I'll probably add some details later but... I think this is a cute addition... Thanks Chiba."
"No problem!" Chiba smiles.
Ojima packs up his notebook and sketches, giving the trio a wave as he goes off to sketch, allowing Harada and Hama to sit down.
"So... Is this what you've been up to this whole time?"
"Not all day. I ate breakfast, then I had some lunch, then I went to the Nurse's office... And I found Hiroaki."
"Hiroaki... What was he doing there?" Harada asks, some mild concern on his face.
"He... was holding a funeral for Sasaki-chan... I think he intended to just have it by himself, but... I chose to join him."
"Oh..." Hama says, his face growing solemn.
"Yeah... It... Got a bit rough towards the end. But... I'm glad I did it... For Sasaki..."
"...I think she'd be happy, Chiba. That you chose to remember her." Harada smiles warmly.
"Yeah..."
Harada pulls the calm Sawa out of his bag and hands her to Chiba. Chiba gently takes the cat in her arms and holds her, calmly resting against the chair.
"So... This is probably already obvious... But... I assume you know? About me and Harada?" Hama asks.
"About the fact you two Looooove each other?" Chiba teases.
Harada and Hama turn pink, leaving Chiba to giggle.
"Y-yeah... That." Harada mumbles.
"You... aren't upset right?"
"I'm not... But I have a question." Chiba hums.
"Yeah? Sure. You can ask us anything." Hama insists.
Chiba turns to Harada. "Keizou... You mentioned a girl. Yukino, right? Isn't she your girlfriend?"
Harada sighs. "That's... actually the main thing me and Hama have been talking about this whole time... And I... came to some conclusions."
"What conclusions?"
"Well... When I was with Yukino, it felt... nice, of course. She was a kind girl. Sweet, honest, all of that. It felt good to be around her... I won't deny that. But... Whenever I was around Hama... It felt different. There was still that nice feeling, but it was... stronger. And there were a lot more feelings. It felt like there were butterflies in my stomach."
"Butterflies?"
"Yeah... Just bouncing around in there. Every time he smiled, I felt like I was gonna faint. I didn't know what any of it meant. I thought it was all the adrenaline but... I felt like this even before the motive. All these feelings... It wasn't just the feeling of companionship... It felt... warm. It felt exciting yet calm. It felt anxiety-inducing yet relaxing. It was everything and yet nothing. Hama... You feel like everything I want. Like my whole world."
"...Seriously? Why do you gotta be so cheesy?" Hama blushes.
"Oh... So with Yukino... You liked her. But with Hama... You Love him."
"...Yeah. Pretty much." Harada says, his face tainted Red as he leaned his head on Hama.
"Ok! I get it then! I'm glad you found someone you love, Keizou!" Chiba smiles.
"Yeah... me too." Harada smiles, nuzzling closer to Hama, the Demonologist blushing at the action.
As the two boys snuggled, Chiba gently held the tiger closer to her, thinking about everything she's experienced today. It was all so much... Chiba never expected what happened today to happen all at once. It was all so new and scary... But...
And so, with her newfound friends, the rabbit set up. She wasn't afraid of the big wide world anymore. Because she had her friends by her side! And they'd face down any danger together!
"......I want to try again."
"Huh?" Hama and Harada perk up.
"Tomorrow morning... I want to try the rope again. I'm... I'm gonna try and get through the vent."
"Wh-huh?!" Harada sits up, startled.
"Chiba, the hell are you talking about?! I mean your arm's still healing for gods sake!" Hama snaps.
"I know that... But right now. Everyone's still so happy. I don't want to lose our happiness... And if we're still here, and this motive continues... We're gonna lose that happiness again. I don't want that. I want to save everyone!"
"C-chiba..." Harada mumbles.
"Don't do it! It's not worth trying to climb while you're injured!"
"It's also not worth just waiting around for someone to kill again! I almost got killed by Sawa, and we weren't even on the highest dose. What will happen when we reach the highest dose and everyone here is inhaling it?!"
Harada and Hama stop, unable to form an answer.
"Please... I promise I'll be careful. I just... I want to try again."
The trio sit in silence, Chiba refusing to back down while the boys sit in quiet comtemplation.
"I mean... If we say no... You're probably just gonna try and do it on your own, aren't you?" Hama sighs.
"Most likely." Chiba shrugs.
"Chiba... You need to be careful. Please..." Harada begs.
"I will. I promise. I'll get a good night's sleep. And in the morning, I'll cllimb the rope and get everyone out of here. Promise." Chiba insists.
"...Alright." Harada sighs. "We're trusting you."
"Thank you." Chiba smiles.
BZZT!
"Attention Students, the nighttime curfew has begun. Certain areas of the school will be locked, preventing further exploration. It is recommended you leave these areas, in order to prevent being locked in. The doors will not be unlocked until morning, regardless of the students inside. Have a good night" Monomoko announces.

"Guess we better get to bed." Harada yawns, stretching as Chiba hands the cuddling Sawa off back to Harada, who places her inside his bag.
"Are you two gonna sleep in the same bed tonight?" Chiba asks curiously.
"Wh- Huh?!" Hama blushes.
"That's what people who love each other do, right? They share a bed and snuggle together!" Chiba grins.
"I... I mean... A-are you ok with it Harada?"
"I'm fine... Can I uh... be the little spoon?" He asks, blushing. "I'm usually on the outside... So."
"Yeah... of course." Hama says, still pink.
Harada smiles warmly as he moves close to Hama, letting the two walk off to have a nice night together and leaving Chiba to head back on her own.
As Chiba finally reaches her room and shuts the door, she feels herself drifting off to sleep near instantly, the day's events exhausting her mentally. As her brain slowly drifts to sleep, she imagines what she'll do when they get out. The stories they'll write... The things they'll enjoy... And the new friends she'll have the chance to make... Chiba couldn't wait...
